Cutting your portion size is a good start! I dont cook for myself often, so it was hard to change what I ate, since I wasn't making it. Use toddler plates to help with portion control. And music. And dance around the house. (Being happy is really important to overall fitness, I think) I love all of this! I use my nephews plates, and it helps a lot! It is hard to lose weigh when you don't feel good, so doing anything that makes you happy is good.

Hello, I dont have hashimoto's but a lot of my weight gain is from my stuggle with hives and mostly, struggle maintaining my weight after prednisone. It seems much harder to get back down then say, weight from the holidays.

When i Started going to the gym and adjusting my diet 3 weeks ago, i didnt lose anything for 2 weeks, then the scale said last night i was down 3 lbs. i took my measurements again and i am down 2 inches. I just figured it take a little while for your body to adjust, I don't know.

Me says 1200 a day as well, i work a desk job and besides exercise I don't get to move much all day. This is a 500 calorie deficit, so I should lose a lb a week without exercise.
