Parsnips. Just seeing them on a plate makes me shudder

I really do appreciate the help - I'd never heard of this book before you told me, I'm excited about it now! Thank you

I like the look of You Are Your Own Gym! Thanks to all of you for your help
-
Thank you  I look at all the results women have got from "lifting heavy" and think "I want some of that" haha! Can I still get similar results with bodyweight exercises? *goes off to have a look at all the ideas above*

Thank you so much for your help! The gym at work is mostly dumbbells/barbells used by all the guys who are quite serious about their lifting - although one of them has just started out (from nothing at all) and he is managing with the weights that are in there so there must be some lighter ones as well (I know I can do…

I always eat before bed if I haven't hit my macros for the day, usually when I've had a busy shift. It has not hurt me. Besides I can't sleep when I'm hungry!

I go over by about 2000 (so my total calorie consumption for the day ends up over 4000 in total) probably once every two weeks. It has not made me gain weight. I just make sure I hit all my macros the rest of the time so I know that when I'm not at work, and I want to go out, I can do it without worrying too much. I avoid…

Cottage cheese. I have tried SO hard to like this because of the amount of protein but I can't get past the texture. Ick.

I like this too, or gin and slimline tonic with a slice of lemon in it - I think that's about 60 calories for a single. Although when I order one someone usually accuses me of being an "old lady with an old lady drink"

Go and enjoy yourself! One night really won't hurt, but I do understand where you are coming from. I've finally managed to get my body fat percentage down to a figure I'm happy with, and that's with a weekly 3000-4000 calorie day where I eat what my boyfriend eats and have a few glasses of wine. I just make sure my…

Hahaha I have been guilty of that too...sat in the physio thinking "I thought exercise was supposed to be good for you"
-
Thank you for this :flowerforyou: I felt I couldn't tell any friends/family how upset it made me because they'd all be like "oh boo hoo you" but it really hurt! x

I have been trying to get a stomach that I don't hate for about 10 years. I have tried restricting calories, sometimes to the point where it has affected my health (thankfully that was a very long time ago), I have run marathons, lifted weights, tried every exercise program under the sun. What has finally done it is eating…

I am feeling a bit blue today because yet again, someone at work made a comment about my weight. It was one of the men, I was working with him all day and about four hours into the shift he said to me "well you could do with putting on some weight couldn't you". I stewed on it for about half an hour then just blew up in…

Oh and this. I do love this. Especially when cycling into work!

Another personal favourite: "you know you're going to screw your knees up and you'll be crippled when you're older don't you" Because doing NOTHING AT ALL is setting YOU up for later life SO much better.....

Oh doesn't it drive you crazy??!!! When I started Insanity to mix up my workout routine all I got at work was "why do you need to do that when you're already thin?" I wanted to scream "because I take care of my health? Because I want a challenge? Because I enjoy exercise? Any of those reasons sound good to you?" I didn't…

Congratulations on reaching your goal - we all know on here how tough it can be. I hope you feel as amazing as you look. As for the comments, I get those too, mainly at work. I have always had thin arms and legs, I carry weight on my belly which is not noticeable in my baggy work uniform. I cycle to work and run, and…

Beautifully put. I have struggled with food since I was 12 and decided my stomach was fat. I have obsessed about it every day since, and I am 29 now. It is only in the last few months that I have managed to banish a few demons and take care of my body properly, but it is still a struggle sometimes to eat as much as I know…

I love Twinings green tea with lemon in the morning, and orange and lotus flower and peach flavour are lovely in the daytime. I get mine in Morrisons, but I think they are reasonably priced in most supermarkets :-)

^ well said

I am 5' 8" and last year I was 10 stone 6. I was a 10 on top and 12 in trousers (I have a terrible body shape where all my weight goes to my middle but I stay flat chested with no waist...I decided something really did have to be done when a colleague congratulated me on my "news". I didn't have any news and I don't know…

Two weeks until Gamma :-) really excited. I'm going to do Insanity again afterwards just to see if I've improved from my last fit test (I went into T25 about two weeks after finishing Insanity) I love Shaun T, he's changed my body in ways running never did. Stick with it everyone :-)
-
I mix my Greek yogurt with vanilla whey protein powder and add flaxseed and blueberries :-)
-
This is an awesome post, thank you :-)

Mine is set at 40/30/30 (c/f/p) as well and I'm finally getting rid of the last bit of belly fat...it's been a month since I started really keeping track like this and I'm happy with the result.

I'm about to start Beta, and I'm finally seeing the definition I didn't quite get with Insanity (which I completed before starting this) I have cleaned up my eating though which probably has a lot to do with it. I love it :-)

I bought this after finishing Insanity, and I am three days away from finishing the first month (Alpha round). I love it and find it so much easier to fit into the day than Insanity, which was also fantastic but brutal after a 12 hour shift! Despite having completed Insanity, I still find this challenging due to the lack…
