  • No advice here, but just adding that it's great that your dogs are of similar size. Hopefully they are of similar fitness levels too. I have a 10 year old chihuahua and a 2 year old boxer. Both love to run, but they have very, very different fitness levels. :)
  • I get very dizzy on a treadmill. I also find that I can't run very far. I can barely make it a mile on a treadmill without being exhausted and wanting to give up (no matter how slow the pace), but if I run outside, I can run for miles. I'm a believer that I'm just not cut out for treadmills. Which is unfortunate, as I live…
  • Are you running in fancy running shoes (not so much expensive, but fancy cushioned shoes)? That might be the cause of your shin splints. I used to get them terribly, and was running in Nike Pegasus. Like, I could go on one run every other week, because every time I ran the shin splints would come back and I would have to…
  • I want to shop where you do - chicken is $3-$4 a pound here.
  • I would drink gallons of Coca Cola.. mmmmm....
  • Hahaha!!
  • Wait, what?! There's a GROUP for us gamers? Gamers losing weight?! I thought we were supposed to all sit in dark rooms shoving hot pockets into our mouths? I'm Kat - I've been playing games since I was old enough to (pong was my first love). I played Ultima Online for about 10 years, and have taken up WoW in the…
  • I bought chia seeds at Whole Foods last night after reading this thread. They are AMAZING! I love boba and these remind me of drinking boba!
  • Haha! I'm the same way! I HATE to sweat! What has gotten me running is the purchase of cute running clothes and the use of the Nike+ running app. If I feel cute it makes it wasier to forget I'm sweating, and the app is pretty fun, it tracks distance and time and you can compete with people, and you also get a map of your…
  • If you have a smartphone, the Nike+ Running ap is all you need. The sensor is for people who do not have a smart phone, you plug it into your shoe and the other end into an iPod. I have a fuelband, but it's more of a seperate thing, just for tracking daily Nikefuel burned. The Nike+ running ap is AMAZING! I run in a really…
  • Feel free to add me too :) 33 yrs old Height 5' 3" HW: 172 CW: 160 I am logging in everyday.
  • I love everything about this post! That you've lost a combined 125 pounds, that your mom is now DOWN to 125 pounds, and that the two of you are holding the amount of weight you've lost! FANTASTIC! Keep up the good work!
  • Oh Roxgrl - LASIK is SUCH a life changer! What a great tie in to do at your goal weight! I have tiny 5lb rewards, like a Redbox rental (we have cable wtih premium channels, and a DVR, so it's not like we're dying for things to watch), or a cheapie Blistex lip balm. At 35 pounds though I'm planning a trip to the Nike…
  • LO here too!
  • Under Armour makes a GREAT one! It's called the Women's Armour Bra http://www.underarmour.com/shop/us/en/womens-armour-bra-dd-cup/pid1233078-001 It comes in quite a few different cup sizes and is AMAZING. I never thought I could run until I bought one. They're spendy, but worth it.
  • Under Armour makes a GREAT sports bra for those of us with boobs. It's called the Women's Armour sports bra. I tried to link to some reviews, but it's at a sporting goods store whose name is cendored on MFP. I physically could not go on a run until I found these, because nothing else tamed the flopping :)
