Have you tried protein fluff or protein pudding? http://www.leangains.com/2010/09/high-protein-recipes-and-jack3d-review.html Be sure to use casein protein for the fluffiest fluff. ;)

Don't forget brain function! It uses up a good chunk of your BMR. About 30%, I think.

To the OP: don't take any of this advice personally. Try to listen to what @ndj1979 is saying with an open mind. We are trying to help you do this accurately and healthily. Measuring cups for solids is pretty inaccurate. Do an experiment! Try weighing all solids and using the correct MFP entry (the database has a LOT of…

You can lose weight on diet alone. You don't have to exercise. In fact, in my opinion, one should exercise for fitness related benefits and cardiovascular health, not to solely lose weight.

There is no one food or meal that is "the best for weight loss". Fill in your diary/plan with foods you like that help you meet your goals (calorie, macros, micros).
-
Are you weighing all solids on a kitchen scale?
-
Meet your protein and fat minimums (1g of protein per pound of lean mass and 0.35g of fat per pound of body weight) and fill the rest with whatever you'd like. I don't like that MFP increases the macros when I add in my exercise calories, so I switched to the TDEE method since my exercise schedule is pretty much the same…

Everything in moderation! It's not poison. Just make it fit (if it's regular pop).

I weigh myself nearly every day. I record each reading into a weight tracker app that gives me a fancy graph with stats and stuff. I only record my weight into MFP if it's a new low OR I've gained more than 5 pounds and it has stuck for more than a month.
-
Now that is hilarious!

I was just "informed" today that protein shakes are unhealthy. This was coming from an MFP friend who eats everything "pure, pure, pure" yet has a closed diary and openly admits to taking glutamine (not sure what it is but it doesn't sound pure to me). People can have different opinions, but food is food. It fits my macro…

I noticed that ricotta cheese has very little sodium. I take two servings and mix in some powder instant coffee (like vanilla bean) and it tastes like heaven and has the same amount of protein as cottage cheese! win-win!

Eating "clean" has no direct effect on retaining water, just so you know.
-
That's right! Oh, also egg foo young is good too, gravy on the side. It's basically a veggie and meat omlet, althougo be sure to account for a bit of cooking oil.

Miso soup is low cal. They usually have hot tea which helps to stop me from over eating. Edamame is good, too (I go to a Chinese/Japanese/Thai all-in-one place so I don't know if edamame is a Chinese item or Japanese). Sauces on the side, steamed meats, steamed broccoli, white rice (I eat like half of what they serve).…

I really like You Are Your Own Gym and 7 Minute workout apps. You could also get a stability ball and follow a half hour routine with it. It's more challenging than most people would assume. ETA: I second the yoga suggestion. It also helps with flexibility and balance and that will carry over into your other exercising…

Awww another anti-sugar thread? Everything in moderation! Most people can eat added/refined sugar and still be healthy. I'm living proof. Sugar tastes good and provides quick energy. Our blood is made up of glucose. It's not evil. It can be enjoyed every day. To the OP, good job at listening to your doctor, but not…

Try searching Amazon and get one with good reviews. You could also test the scale by getting a kettle bell or a dumbbell and weighing it on the scale. Also, make sure it's on a flat and hard surface, not the carpet. Also if a digital scale isn't working, just get a traditional analog scale and test the calibration the same…

How restrictive is your regimen? Are you depriving yourself of foods you love? I control binges by saving room for a decadent dessert that fits into my calorie goal nearly every day.

There is no food specifically designated to be eaten only while in weight loss mode. Avocados are calorie dense so these sound like a great food to eat if you're trying to gain weight, but don't want to eat a lot of volume.
-
This. I would also add that eating potassium helps, too.

To be perfectly honest, motivation has to come from within. You have to want it badly enough to make some real changes. Baby steps. It doesn't all have to be at once. Specifically define your goal, find a plan that will help you meet your goal, and stick to it long enough to see results. A pity party and fake enthusiasm…

Judging by your stats, I wouldn't make it a habit to eat at that level. One day is fine. Not worried about it. I care more about weekly numbers being met rather than daily. The goal, in my opinion, should be to eat as much as possible while still seeing results at an acceptable rate.
-
To put it simply: ~For weight loss: calories in < calories out ~For body composition (maximize fat loss and minimize muscle loss): eat enough protein and do some sort of progressive resistance training routine ~For overall health: eat enough fats and micronutrients (especially fiber), get enough sleep, stay hydrated, maybe…

My thoughts? Meh. I like variety. I like following IIFYM. I'm able to swap out foods if I get tired of them while making sure that the new foods still help me reach my macro- and micro-nutrient goals. This might be fine for one day, but I need more protein (116ish grams minimum), for sure.... And more room for dessert!

Diet Pepsi is better.... and so is Dr. Pepper Ten. B)

Trutein. It's worth the money and it tastes amazing. My favorite: Mocha Caramel. mmmmm <3

Does your stomach hurt when you eat oatmeal? If not, I wouldn't worry too much. If it's just a little water retention, no biggie. Water retention =/= fat

Have you seen your doctor? It sounds like you may have Celiac disease. The vast majority of people can lose weight without going grain/gluten free. I would suggest you see your doctor. ETA: You may need to have some gluten in you in order to see if it's a problem. I'm not sure, but that's what I've heard, so make sure you…
