OP ... Looking at your diary, there is nothing really constant week to week about your regiment. You're intake swings by +/- 200 calories on average (not taking into account your exercise calories). Just something I noticed.

50 pounds in roughly 10 months. It's not easy, as many of us will say. And if it is, you're not doing it right. If you're plugging in to MFP that you want to lose 2lbs/week, it may tell you to eat eat 1200 calories. DO NOT DO THIS! Calculate your intake using your TDEE and BMR.

Really? I drink, and eat a ton of dairy, but managed to lose 50+ pounds. OP just eat at a deficit and you'll lose weight. If you exercise in the mix great, if you're just in it for weight loss, log your intake and watch your cals.

What the 2 previous have said. I eat 2 meals / day and fit roughly 2600 calories in an 8 hour window.

Unless you have a medical condition where your caloric intake should be that low, there is not any reason why a male, you are should be averaging 1500 calories / day. Either will work for weight loss, as in this situation your caloric intake will play more of a factor than which machine you use. Just eat less. I'm guessing the calories burned between the two in negligible.

Using an HRM helped me a ton when I was training for 1/2 marathons. It helped me keep pace with where I knew I should be.

Check out leangains.com. There are a a bunch of people on here who practice IF. But like anything, it's not a magic recipe for fat loss or weight loss.

I'm pretty sure if you do any form of exercise consistently you will burn calories.

:huh: If I train in the mornings, just 10g of BCAAs. Evening sessions, either dinner or Fage with raspberries.

I practice intermittent fasting. So if I train in the mornings its 10g of BCAAs preworkout, and 10g 2 hours later.
