Congratulations...70 pounds is an amazing amount of weight to lose! Two things to remember: 1) You have done the hardest work already, which is making the change to focus on a healthy lifestyle 2) Your body knows you are 70 pounds lighter, even if you don't think you can see a big change. It's functioning better and is in…

Thank you! I am so sick of my mom telling me, "The aspartame in those diet drinks is really dangerous."

I warm up a sugar-free, dark chocolate pudding snack in the microwave and add a spoonful of peanut butter. Yum! Light string cheese is also a good, easy, filling late night snack.

The fat doesn't come off evenly! You can lose a lot of weight, gain muscle, and have great-looking legs, a thin face, small top...but still have a jiggly stomach for a while...thank goodness for Spanx!

First of all, congratulations on beginning this journey now. I wish with all my heart that I had done this when my own kids were really young. Like you, I had slowly gained weight over the years, and was busy, but not intentional about eating right and exercising. I had tried and failed at several attempts to lose weight…

You look marvelous... so much younger, happier, and more confident! Success stories like yours are what got me started with MFP in the first place. Thanks for sharing.

One pound a week doesn't seem like a lot...until it's been 25 weeks...or 52 weeks!

Love your motto, 'moderation not deprivation'! It sure worked for you...you look fantastic!

Not a mini milestone...I'd say that's a major milestone! You've embraced a healthy lifestyle and lost 40 pounds. Congratulations, and keep up the good work:)

Thanks! Sounds like something I want to try.

Yes! If you do it religiously, you should definitely lose inches. I did. I noticed my clothes getting a lot looser after only a couple of weeks, even though the scale wasn't moving that much. It's easy to commit to because you do it at home and it's just a 30-35 minute workout (with warmup.)

Way to go! That's quite an accomplishment, and you look fantastic!

Okay, some cheeses are full of fat and calories, and you gotta plan for them. But for everyday... A light mozzerella cheese stick is my 'go to' snack. Low cal, low carb, low fat...with protein and calcium (I think CheeseHeads brand makes the yummiest.) A melted 40 cal. Sargento Ultra Thin slice of cheese turns a boring,…

Unbelievable transformation! You look at least 20 years younger, and very handsome. I know you must be happy to be so fit and active now. In a few years, you'll be taking that granddaughter skiing with you!

A girl scout appeared in my driveway last weekend, pulling a red wagon full of cookies. Yes, I bought a box of Caramel Delights..and not just to support the Girl Scouts! I am going to eat a couple each day until they are gone. Yum:) Congratulations on your success and realistic mindset. We can't eliminate all tastiness.…

Congratulations! Finding that old clothes I never thought I would wear again are loose has been the most fun part of this journey for me. Enjoy those pants now....because soon, they'll be way, way too big and you'll have to give them away!

Cocoa roasted dark chocolate almonds in single serve packs Jell-O Sugar-Free Dark Chocolate Mousse Temptations Any chocolate square, truffle, or fun-size candy bar...if you can eat just one. This is very difficult for me, so I occasionally pick up just one at a check-out counter. It's more expensive that way, but I can't…

I totally hear you! I have been consistently exercising every day for 11 months, and I keep waiting for that magic moment when I suddenly love it...that hasn't happened yet. But I do like the way my body has changed as a result, and I like earning extra calories, so I make myself do it. I started out mostly walking, but…
