I'm sorry you two are going through that. I wouldn't dump her, I'd set boundaries with her and myself. I would never offer her dessert again and let her know that she should ask if she sees something she wants to eat at my house. I'd tell her to stop calling me fat and any synonyms of the word fat for good. I would discuss…

Hi Sophie! Your post touched me I have to say. You seem like a very sweet lady. Please, learn to stand up for yourself. What you wrote is not a rant at all. It was as if you are afraid to ask for help, like you are a bother and you aren't. You have lost 6 pounds and he's complaining. He's controlling. There is nothing…

Yes! If the chocolate make you binge and go over calories, no. Make sure you get your fruits and veggies in to make up for the lack of nutrition in the chocolate. You'll do fine.

This time- three weeks. Any time before this one about a month except when I had surgery. It happens without fanfare, one day you workout and it's easier.

She didn't count for 4 days.

I did the exact same thing. I started tracking again two days ago and was down 2.2 yesterday, 1.2 today. Reach out to your support group on here, they will cheer you on. My week was pretty salty, lots of chips, Chinese and Mexican food. I figure half of it is salt, half weight. The thing to do is to not give up! Drink a…

I've been on maintenance since December. I started about 4.5 pounds before I reached my goal weight by adding 100 calories every 2 weeks or so. My goal calories according to fitwatch are about 1690 for light activity and 1475 for sedentary. I gain big time on 1600, even though I exercise 4-7 days a week. So I made my goal…

It sounds like you have dealt with this before. Me too, since 2001. If you don't have a copy of IBS, The First Year, it saved me. It's by Heather Van Vorous and she has a website too with all her helpful tips and not ok food lists. Here is what she says on her website about trigger foods. Avoid these, take Methylcellulose…

I started adding back calories 100 a week 4 pounds from goal. I still lost four more pounds over Christmas. Also I didn't have that sudden jump in weight.

Yes, I get sick a lot now. Almost never got sick before. My diet went from garbage to pretty healthy (OK- really healthy). Yes, I am freezing all the time. My electric bill was huge the last 3 months.

I eat Asian food all the time, including fried rice. I don't order general tso's, or any of the fried and sugar-sauced stuff. Do like chicken and asparagus, shrimp and mixed vegetables, eggrolls, soups etc.

I kept losing inches. Also my clothes kept getting looser. Wish I hadn't bought all those new jeans. because they are all too big for me now, and I bought them in maintenance. My face has gotten thinner.

Frozen banana, frozen strawberries and 1/2 cup milk blended with a few ice cubes. Very good.

I eat an ounce of cheese and a piece of fruit if I'm hungry. It sounds like you need snacks, no need to suffer. :flowerforyou:

Well I sure did! But then I tracked my food on here, started exercising most days and suddenly realized I not only wasn't the "fat friend" anymore but was actually the skinny friend now. Try focusing on positive things. You are gorgeous! You are going to be trimmer and healthier next month. :flowerforyou:

For me under 113. I'm 5'3", small boned. Others- when they look weak and starved. I think of others as too skinny when they completely obsess over their weight and dieting. It becomes a mental illness instead of a way to be healthy.

I weigh every day. I'm a binge eater (or was) and weighing each day reminds me what I'm doing and keeps me accountable to myself. I can't stand to watch the scale go up every day when I'm overeating, it's very effective.

Baby carrots. Organic apples. Raw nuts. Cheese. Oranges. Tangerines. Eggs. Plain chips.

Try giving up sugar and all artificial sweetners for two weeks and see if things change.
-
Go away negative person. Go smear your negativity on someone else.

More satisfying. Look at boiled potatoes, porridge/oatmeal, oranges, apples, grapes, beef, baked beans, eggs, cheese, brown pasta, whole grain bread. If I get really hungry I'll eat boiled eggs and oranges. My hunger drops like a stone. I eat a lot of cheese and whole fruit for snacks and meals. Friend me and you can go…

No, you don't have to ignore hunger or cravings. When you eat, focus on the specific foods that satisfy hunger. http://www.mendosa.com/satiety.htm I eat this way and can vouch for it, especially oranges and whole eggs. It really works, I am rarely starving or craving. I don't eat sugar or artificial sweetners, ever.

Advice? Well, yes, you want to come up with an alternate workout so all that muscle doesn't turn into fat, also adjust your calories down because those gym workouts burn a huge number of calories. Myself, I wouldn't stop doing something innocent like working out because someone I love was actually projecting an imaginary…

I can help, My friends have kept me going on here, don't know that I would have met goal without them.:flowerforyou:
-
For me a horrible idea. For you? Only you know.
-
Ok. You are almost half way there. And suddenly you come to a standstill. Is it possible you are afraid of actually succeeding? Obviously you can do this. I've had those Sunday morning donuts in N.O. Have you ever noticed- they taste the same every time. So does everything else. Food has no power over you. It's just food.…

Fantastic job! You look great. I've been at it since July 29th, reached goal this weekend, lost 29.5 pounds and went from size 10-12 to 4. Isn't losing it grand!

Yes! Go to groups and put weight watchers in the search!

I have absolutely no eating style. I eat whenever, wherever and whatever I want (except fake and real sugars).
