Hi Chardog. I think you look much better. On your food, I would suggest more non-starchy vegetables and lower sugar fruits like berries, grapefruit, etc. for better nutrition and fiber.

A good suggestion The Minimalists make is to take pictures of your loved one's belongings. Here are two short articles. I hope they help. http://www.theminimalists.com/sentimental/ http://www.theminimalists.com/dealing/

Congratulations on your new addition to the family. While breastfeeding you shouldn't eat below 1800 calories a day. Breastfeeding burns between 850 and 1000 calories a day. I'd hate for your little one to not get enough nourishment. http://www.thebump.com/a/lose-weight-breastfeeding

When I get like this I have boiled eggs, oranges and l-glutamine. It nips the hunger in the bud.

Why pay a specialist if you aren't going to take her advice? It seems like a waste of time and money to me.

That's fantastic, good for you! Keep up the good work.

Yes! Stadium bleachers are awesome and you get to be outside in fresh air.

Thank-you very much for posting this 6pkdreamer. As a 45 year sugar junkie I am a believer 100%. Every day without dessert is a better day for me.

I had a cheeseburger for lunch today, made it at home for about a fourth of the calories. Eating healthy, losing weight and learning to make all your favorite foods with fewer calories is fun and challenging. It's all in the attitude. Day 6 is great, keep it up!

As someone with bulimia and anorexia in your past I would focus on myself and getting help for myself. Those are both painful and dangerous diseases. I think going with him to a really, really great counselor that thoroughly understands eating disorders and the family dynamics involved would be very helpful as well.

Everything suffers. My brain goes to a different place, a place where my real life isn't included. I quit everything that interests me, exercise, reading, time with friends and family. Life goes from colors to grays. Sounds dramatic but it really isn't. It's just the truth.

Hi CactusFlower. I have a treadmill, works great for hot, rainy or freezing days in Houston. The rest of the time I walk early. Also I have an old Jane Fonda tape (dvd now) from the 80's called complete workout. It isn't too bad once you do it a few times. You need a floor mat if you don't have carpet and 3 pound weights,…

No, there is nothing you can do to change him. My suggestion is that you look at yourself by asking yourself some questions. Why do I care so much what he thinks? Why am I married to someone who ignores me when I take care of myself? Just keep living your life and observe his behavior from a distance. My daughter is 15 and…

It's never too late for you to learn to set boundaries with people and then do it. You have a right to say no to negative comments about your appearance, choices and life. Life is precious and putting up with verbal attacks on your appearance is unacceptable. You can have a conversation with her in private. Tell her if she…

I have IBS, diagnosed. It rarely rears its ugly head because I do this: "The problem is, it isn't a single food that causes Irritable Bowel Syndrome symptoms. It's ANY food that is high in fat, insoluble fiber, caffeine, coffee (even decaf), carbonation, or alcohol. Why? Because all of these food categories are either GI…

There are a lot of things that will work but you still want to track the calories probably. Cucumbers, spinach, jicama, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries, sugar free jello, sugar free frozen fudge popsicles, flavored water, lean lunchmeats.
-
Um, that is pretty dramatic actually. 100 pounds is fabulous!

Ummm......Happy Thanksgiving?

I've had Advocare chocolate meal replacement, it was really good and I stayed full for hours. It was best prepared in a blender, which obviously will take time. I personally grab a cheese stick or ounce of cheese and an apple, it take a few seconds and I can eat it easily in the car.

Cold medicine like Robitussin cough and ibuprofen. Broth, preferably homemade chicken broth. Puffs Kleenex with aloe vera. Taking a hot shower or bath every day helps a lot. Get better! :flowerforyou:

Go to the store, buy 8 one pound boxes of butter. There are 4 sticks in each box. You'll have 32 sticks of butter total. Line them up in a row. That's how much weight you've lost. That's a wonderful thing.

I am sorry for your loss. It's one of the worst things a person can go through. I've been through it with a son. Helpimfalling, I think you are doing a wonderful thing for you and your future child losing the weight before you conceive.

Thanks for the tips! Yes, my daughter had social skills training trough her school for about 4 years, then no training for the past 4. She is taking theatre production this year and actually made a friend in there that she ate lunch with the past 3 days. She went to art the past 2 years but never followed up on friendship…

Thank you once again for your replies! :flowerforyou: Also thank-you for the friend requests.

Thank-you for your kind words, it means the world to me right now! I decided to deep clean the house to burn calories and take my mind off things and do something that needs to be done very badly anyway :blushing: !!! Sometimes I forget life is one day at a time.

It gets better with time, mine has changed by smoothing out and doesn't look bad. Walking helps.

I suggest finding an additional counselor that treats your illness and if possible get in-patient treatment. Long term support is invaluable as well. You might consider Anorexics and Bulimics Anonymous. http://aba12steps.org/ They have a text as well that you can read between meetings.

I'll support you 100%! :flowerforyou:

Yes, I've watched it twice. It was really informative. The physician that does the presentation is Dr. Robert Lustig, Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at University of California San Francisco Center for Obesity Assessment. He is a brilliant man who has done decades of research on sugar's effects on the body both long and…

I looked at your food. Your calories are too low on some days. I see a lot of sugar choices. I gave that up while I was losing, when I added it back I packed on the pounds and am getting back off sugar now. Just something to think about. Again, I would be more consistent with weighing and measuring and sticking to a…
