i've tried it, but i get too slippery to hold poses and the studios always smell like feet. lol, glad you like it though!

there's a couple of times a year where we'll do birthdays for people in the office and get maybe half a dozen gourmet donuts and share them, generally everyone takes little bites of each kind to taste them and stands around and talks *kitten* for a while, to be honest, it's the small talk part which bothers me more than…

in for the plot twist

i LOVE orange theory, but my bank account did not and i had to cancel. if i come into more money i'll definitely go back to that as at least a 2 x per week accessory to lifting.

i've only tried the beast burger by them, and it's pretty good, i would love to try the beyond burger because it's the only thing that looks like it may be shaped and grill like a regular burger. most veggie burgers, including the beast, are just so thin and sad looking on a grill. and i've tried just about all of them.…

gingerale and medicinal herb, a hot shower, an orgasm, and then i usually feel well enough to consider food, a fresh bagel with cream cheese is ideal but any breakfast food will do. ymmv.

halo top actually makes a pretty good milkshake. it kind of bypasses any weird texture issues by blending it up. i suggest blending the vanilla bean with guinness beer, kahlua and some chocolate syrup. o:)

i get that way if something has too much butter or heavy cream, i have no similar issues with cheese though, even if it's fried. i think it's just a temporary shock to your system. you don't eat it for a while and then your body reacts differently. if you think about it, it can happen with healthy foods too - for example…

literally nobody has ever said this. we're 142 pages in and this has been covered ad nauseum.

to the bolded, sadder words were never spoken. /hyperbole

it happens slowly sometimes, but it happens. if you can, i would suggest a progressive program (for either lifting or cardio) - something with an app is always good because you can use it while you have your headphones in, etc. and it does the tracking for you as well as setting you up for incremental improvements. if you…

i put it at 7-8 calories per minute. depending on what i'm doing, if i'm mostly just keeping the hoop up and waist hooping i use the 7 cals, and i can do that continuously for a pretty long time, i use 7 also if i'm trying to learn a new trick as that usually means i'm dropping the hoop quite a bit. if i'm dancing or…

but an anecdote is a story used to illustrate an example. tbh, i really don't care about the semantics, ignoring the lobster specifically - what i meant was: i see a disconnect with many people who are happy to extrapolate from anecdotal evidence a widespread pattern of abuse but who are less willing to acknowledge that…

i don't think that it's a single instance by far. i'm curious as to why anecdotal evidence of people buying lobsters or otherwise fraudulently obtaining or misusing welfare programs are ok to label as indicative of widespread problems, but the far more common occurrence of a child's birthday is a one-off and not a valid…

that was a brave and selfless action and she was very lucky that you were there to intervene to help. i'm just not sure how that story is relevant to this overall discussion. i don't mean that in a nasty way at all. i think, actually, it reinforces the feeling of helplessness that people often have when in a situation of…

i really don't think it has anything to do with attractiveness of approachability, i think it's almost always opportunistic and situational. there are days when i KNOW i look like *kitten*, but the dude with the naked lady mudflaps who sees me walking from the train alone does not give a single *kitten* about that, he just…

for real. i think that to the men who are acting as predators, we're all prey, not just the women blissfully and beatifically jogging and smiling. no change in posture or attitude feasibly prevents harassment. ime it's actually the opposite, i get the MOST unwanted attention when i'm hungover, tired, and generally and…

i go over my calories pretty often, life happens and i'm happy to lose slowly and sustainably. i don't really binge very often, if ever, depending on the definition we're using. i may plan to go over maintenance occasionally but more often i'm just decreasing my deficit or at maintenance (sometimes for a few weeks on diet…

another vote for recomp / fitness goals rather than weight loss. maybe a small deficit but definitely a lot of patience. because you can't choose where you lose fat from and you store fat on the lower part of your body there's a pretty good chance that just losing 'weight' would result in your upper body slimming before…

that's pretty much how i started hooping and it's my favorite cardio now. :D

this is amazing.

^^^ yep stick with the meal / macro timing doesn't matter. a deficit matters for weight loss, macros and micros for health and nutrition. time of day matters for basically none of it.

yet another vote for fabletics

and yet you love to say it. over and over again. i think people are fine hearing and acknowledging that statistic and using it to inform their choices. i think a lot of people are experientially acquainted with that failure, especially here. and i think that if you're trying to convince people that they are going to fail,…

I highly recommend checking out the stickied posts and reading some of the getting started threads http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10300331/most-helpful-posts-getting-started-must-reads#latest in particular "a guide to get you started on your path to sexy pants" has a lot of great information.

my coworker goes to subway fairly frequently and brings back a dozen cookies, they are not easy to budget! but they are delicious. so far my record for turning them down is like 30/70.
