  • OMG, so true. Granted, I am still plus-size, but my first reaction is to grab only 1 size down from where I started. I am surprised every time when I put them on and expect them to fit, but instead they slide down my hips and off. I struggle a lot with this. In the mirror I can't "see" the changes but my clothes sure…
  • My GF is a redhead, but yes Gillian Anderson (le sigh, X-files) was one of my first girl-crushes. Hawt!! Redheads and brunettes are my faves. Just don't find myself attracted to blondes (even though I am one!) The creamy porcelain skin with tiny little brown freckles is soo sexy.
  • If a food has a sauce, it CAN NOT get that sauce on any vegetables. My "getting-ready-in-the-morning" routine can NOT be interrupted or I feel all out of sorts for the day. When bowling, I scare everyone because I do this little Hop before letting go of the ball!
  • Oh, believe me....my "monster" inside me tells me this ALL the TIME! I have a food addiction. I don't truly want to be fat, but sometimes my brain says "it's easier", "it's cheaper", "You NEED to eat". OP, I think that a lot of people misunderstood this post, or maybe I have, but I feel like I should say this. I have given…
  • OMG, this thread is hilarious! I have giggled so much! (BTW, I am one of "those" people....I enjoy brussel sprouts with butter and garlic, or just steamed with a sprinkle of salt and pepper)
  • OMG OMG. That is....me... I am still struggling with my mental image of being "the fat girl" but I am trying to kick fat's *kitten*! That was the OLD me!!
  • I asked my SO to keep me honest with our food logging. She tries to be very precise, where I get obsessive sometimes and will waaaay overestimate. She is so wonderful and gentle when she sees I am damaging myself and will gently correct me on my overestimating. I think the fact we are both on here, and both trying for the…
  • This is exactly why I think my doctor told me not to. I do have a very unhealthy relationship with food, almost an....obsessive fixation with it . It's slowly changing, and I know my body needs fuel, but my mindset is still a work in progress.
  • You guys are awesome! I loved all the funny responses and I am going to have to try a few! It's just so frustrating when people look at me in disbelief that "all" I am doing is food logging and some exercise. Thanks everyone for your amazing responses.
  • Our friends on our friends list here are supposed to be our SUPPORT network, not our criticism network! They are our cheerleaders and shoulder to lean on. There are so many reasons for people to use this site, and everyone's body reacts differently to foods. I have my "relaxed" days where I eat a good restaurant meal…
  • Personally, my doctor who is supervising my weight loss told me NOT to eat my exercise calories back. I am not to the point yet that I work out consistently, but I do think that if you are vigorous with exercise then you should probably account for those calories burned and eat at least some of them back. At this time, I…
  • I just thought of something....if you are able to use canned veggies but don't want the sodium, rinse the veggies before you heat them! It will reduce the sodium somewhat!
  • LOL at all the great comments. I, personally, have a picture of Bonnie Pfiester with her quote on competing against yourself. It's motivation enough for me! (Adore that quote too!)
  • It sucks being on a tight budget. Been there, done that! I have a few good recipes that are inexpensive, yummy, and low in calories. Also, much to my surprise, if you have a Dollar Tree near you, they have frozen veggies for $1 and even low-cal popsicles (60 cals each). They sometimes even have frozen ribeye steaks (though…
  • Two words. Jerk Chicken. It was so hot that no one could eat it! I guess I had put too much "jerk" on the chicken breasts! :ohwell: :ohwell:
  • I am making key-lime cheesecakes this weekend with Oikos Greek key-lime yogurt and some juice. Wish me luck that they turn out just as yummy!
  • (P.S. @redrose I adore your ticker! It's so cute!)

  • LOL. Straight girl crushes are the worst, aren't they? I've had my share, and where I live, it's hard to tell sexuality because in the "bible belt" no one is that openly "out". My partner and I are, but we do receive our share of odd looks and questioning scowls. This happens more at my daughter's school functions than…

  • beautiful....very soft eyes.
  • I am always up to making new friends and helping out where I can! (I am a recipe gal, so if you need ideas....just ask!) It sucks that I am in Florida, I would love a couple of new work-out buddies!! Feel free to message and/or friend me! Sara
  • I remember mine. I had the strongest crush on her in high school, and I always was weirded out by it. She always smelled like cinnamon oil. We were never in a relationship, but when she moved away, my heart ached like it never did before! I guess this cemented my sexuality quite a bit. I think a part of me will always love…

  • Sugar! I just can't seem to break that addiction! I eat fruit more now than I used to, but when cravings hit....it's always for dessert or bread... Gotta love sweet! :ohwell:
  • I've lost 69 pounds total and mine haven't changed much at all. I think they are a tad bit smaller, but it's more the space between and band-size that changed. I've had friends, though, that DID lose them....usually first!
  • Yes you can! You may want to add a bit more vanilla extract if you do!
  • I know how you feel! I wish you lots of luck and congratulations on how far you have come already! You are an inspiration to people out there like me who are just beginning. There is so much information out there that it tends to get very confusing. My simple (no scientific) advice is to just keep on going. If your body…
  • I don't know, but I think I am going to experiment with it soon! The sugar is 194 calories for 1/4 cup, so....that takes approximately 16 calories off each cheesecake...so, around 75 calories if made with splenda. I am not sure how it will taste though yet!!
  • Me too!!   I've made several recipes from there (one being a base for my version of mini chocolate cheesecakes) and even my picky teenager ate them! Love her descriptions too!
  • Ohhhh yessss! This is my fave! Just bought a pair of shorts last weekend (I haven't worn shorts in public for years!) in the size I was just after giving birth to my daughter! I also love painting my toes and although it IS food related, I like to seek recipes online and plan to use them in the future. I am also addicted…
