I am on Phentermine. There, you have it! Fire away! Seriously though, for some people who are emotional eaters, binge eaters, etc, the drug is a great tool to refocusing your relationship with food. I do, however, agree with most about the calorie limit. 900 does seem quite extreme. Especially if you were eating 3000 just…

How about those of us that are trying for the one-millionth time?

I am setting a second goal for weight loss.....at least another 4 pounds.
-
So excited!! I've already met the first one! 8 pounds gone! Woohoo....another one bites the dust! :drinker:

I love hearing about how everyone expresses themselves through body art! I am a late bloomer, eager for more. Currently, I have one tribal butterfly (symbolic of my amazing partner, Allie) on my left shin, 2 normal 18 gauge holes in each ear and an 18 gauge left nostril piercing. I waited nearly 20 years for the nostril…

I met my sweet love on an alternative website. We were just looking for friends to hang out with and sparks flew! Sparks still fly even after nearly 5 years together. :smooched: :smooched: :smooched: Sara

My goals are to lose at least 5 pounds, to start weight lifting, and to increase my biking to twice a week.

Hey everyone. I'm Sara. I am yet undiagnosed except for clinical depression. I struggle with binge eating, emotional eating, self injury. I sometimes feel like I am going crazy! Has anyone else crashed so hard that they grabbed a whole container of oreos and shoveled them in...crying and unable to stop while doing it? I…

I don't condone fad diets, but that's not the issue here. You could try using a stool softener such as docusate sodium (or Colace, the brand name). I also second the suggestion of chia seeds. They are yummy and full of fiber. Good luck on getting things moving!
-
Congratulations! Wishing you all the happiness your heart can hold!!

I have GOT to try this. Sounds so super yummy! Maybe throw in a few raisins for extra fiber and texture! I made these and my family LOVED them! I also tried them with key lime yogurt and a few tablespoons of juice. Key to great ones is adding the sugar though. Splenda made them taste like dry biscuits.…

I have the same problem. I have found that the grilled chicken sandwich at McDonald's is around 310 calories and is delicious! Ask for no mayo to make it even less. The tomato on the sandwich lends just enough moisture to make the "no-mayo" less noticeable. They also have The minute maid lemonade that is 10 calories per 8…

I'm always open to new friends! I am pansexual in a lesbian relationship! I have been kind of looking for friends I can talk to!
-
While I agree with everyone stating that you should talk to your doctor, there are other ways to help combat it. I am on anti-depressants and do think it's an imbalance of chemicals that leads to depression along with factors in your life. Exercise and diet do wonders but I sometimes need an extra boost. I don't think it…

Does your food scale have a "tare" button? If it does, put your empty bowl on the scale, hit tare, then the measuring should go back to zero. This is how ours works!
-
I don't remember if I had to tell anyone or not. I do volunteer it sometimes when it's brought up in conversation. I don't call it "dieting" though, I call it healthier living....or making a lifestyle change. I still get a few people who want to know the "secret" way I did it. They never believe it's just better eating…

Sometimes the servings listed on the package may vary by the type of measuring cup used. Perhaps they measured with a food scale (in grams or ounces) then calculated how many "cups" it should have. I have run into this several times with veggies so I have started measuring everything on a food scale instead. Don't feel bad…

My symptoms seem slightly better, but not hardly what I expected. I still have days where it's a struggle just to get out of bed due to the flu-like body aches. Working out is also touch-and-go when I get those muscle knots. It's definitely a challenge to lose weight and exercise with Fibro. Oh, and sleep habits haven't…
-
Hi everyone! I haven't been formally diagnosed with fibro but the doc says the symptoms fit. I also have a knee injury that I working through. I get very discouraged sometimes and eat to make myself feel better when my body hurts too bad to do anything else. I could use a buddy or two who knows how this feels. It's…

They are definitely worth a try! My favorite is grilled asparagus with a touch of butter and garlic. Goes great with steak or chicken!

This made me tear up. I've always been the "fat girl" since I started puberty. I was teased mercilessly and called Miss Piggy all throughout my school years. It makes it hard to get out and be seen. The sweat usually mixes with tears of frustration and jealousy at the other runners who seem to do it so effortlessly. I am…

OMG, where do you find that? My family uses ground turkey for nearly everything!

I am a sweet southern girl, born and raised in northwest FL (Southern Alabama...lol). When faced with this situation, I usually choose one food that is "bad" but make the rest of the meal up with veggies. And for sweet tea...diabetics are everywhere. Just tell them you are watching your sugar intake so your "sugars" won't…

Just a basic 6 ounce I think. It's usually a single serving container....

Oh, just an update...I tried making them with Splenda...and they turned out horribly. Almost biscuit-like instead of creamy.

Alternative/rock chick here! Have a crazy obsession with Seether (Saron Gas) and their frontman, Shaun Morgan. (I'd eat him with a spoon!) Love Theory of a Deadman, the 80s hairbands, Shinedown, Burn Halo, Godsmack, Hole, My Darkest Days, and on the lighter side, Marcy Playground. Always happy to have new friends! Who…

lmao....MFP needs a "like" button like Facebook! Love this!!!

I certainly consider myself a hippie chick though I do shave in stages. Summers I do tend to shave my armpits because of sweat and odor, but I forget I even have hair on my legs sometimes! And *gasp* I was so completely astonished to know that some women shave their arms?? I had never considered that in my life! (Although…

Just a helpful hint, since most everyone has said things I agree with, and OP, I am a big emotional eater, but there is a group here just for us. Sometimes it helps knowing that so many others are having the same struggles. It doesn't matter what the problem is at home, if you are an emotional eater, you are going to WANT…
-
I, too, struggle with this a LOT. In fact, last week/weekend I fell off the wagon again and went on a binge. (I am an emotional eater also.) I cried a lot, ate a lot, didn't log in...and when I did, I half-assed it and rarely completed it. I argued with my family and slept a lot. I think sometimes we just get burned out on…
