  • I was eating my exercise calories at first and not seeing a weight loss either, but once I stopped eating them, the weight started coming off!
  • I tried Hoodia in the liquid form. You put so many drops in your mouth and then drink an entire glass of water. It tasted absolutely horrid. It helped only slightly and wasn't worth the price, I think I paid about $50 for this teeny weeny bottle that only lasted a couple weeks. I wouldn't do it if I were you. I wish I…
  • I only get mine every 3 months because of the pill I'm on, but it seems like all my cravings just build up for those three months and I can't control myself!

  • That is an awesome idea! I would have never thought of that and I totally love pineapple!

  • I am originally from a small town in Iowa but moved to our wonderful capital, Des Moines 6 years ago for college! Miss the small town living though.
  • I will have to try that. Sounds like a good idea.

  • Thanks. I gave in this weekend and ate pizza, but then got on the elliptical for over an hour because I was so mad at myself. Maybe I am trying to be a little too strict.

  • Mmmm, Twix. Now I want one. lol

  • Ok, for a couple of days before my favorite Aunt Flow visits, I can't stay away from nasty foods. I want the onion rings everyone else had at lunch and the pizza and the cupcakes for dessert. I want greasy or chocolately foods so bad that I get grumpy if I don't have them. Does anyone else have this problem? Is there…

  • I love the panini's too! They are awesome!
  • This happened to me. I changed my diet and starting working out at least an hour a day, five days a week. I didn't lose a thing for about a month but felt a lot better. This is the second week that I have seen results. I've lost five pounds now. I would say just keep going and let your body recondition itself and get used…
  • I actually started putting my alarm in the kitchen so I had to get up and leave my bedroom to turn it off. It worked for a while, but then I just ended up angry that I had to get up. I have started working out right after work at 5 now and I love it. I get off work and go straight to the gym, watch my favorite shows while…
  • Corn bread is soooo high in calories!
  • Here in Iowa, we love the corn :)
  • Trust me, I completely understand. I have a canopy bed and one night I was laying down getting ready to sleep and I looked up and there was one hanging out on the canopy. I didn't know how to get it off without it falling in my bed and me losing it (I can't even get within feet of spiders without breaking out in a full…
  • I will have to look into them. Thank you!

  • Thanks so much for the advice! Does anyone have a brand they prefer?
in Vitamins Comment by rowlandk April 2008
  • Is anyone taking a multivitamin or anything? I was just wondering if I should be taking something.

  • I had a banana and an apple. I wish I could get my butt up earlier to make something!
  • I tried, but it said it's full.
  • I have that same problem! I go over my sugar every day. I am eating healthy so I have kind of just ignored it.

  • I had something like this happen to me at work. I have been bringing my lunch (we have a cook) so that I knew exactly what was going into my food (very hard to lose weight with a cook). Well this girl I work with caught me on this site and started adding up her calories too and has the guts to tell me that she is trying so…
  • I just had an awesome Lean Cusine Chicken Club Panini. Those things are amazing! Only 350 calores and it totally filled me up!
  • I totally know what you mean. When I indulge myself in something that I shouldn't be eating, it's like my body rejects it. It makes my stomach upset and I end up in the bathroom for about 20 minutes. I don't know if it is because we have trained our bodies to have different foods now or what, but mine does the same thing.
  • I am in Des Moines, Iowa.

  • Thanks so much for the advice. I think I will go get a tape measure tonight before I go to the gym and start measuring myself once a week. Maybe that will help!
in No Loss Comment by rowlandk March 2008
  • No, I haven't. I don't have a tape measure but maybe it would be time to purchase one?

  • I consume 1200 calories in a day. I am 5' 7", weigh 176 pounds and I am 24 years old. I work as an administrative assistant and run around the office quite often. I am also a full time student so I am up and fairly active until about 10 a couple of nights a week. I have been eating cucumbers, pickles, carrots, and such for…

  • Ok, I have been on this site for several weeks now and counting my calories. I have been doing really well at watching what I eat. I used to have chocolate cake for breakfast just to give an idea of how bad my habits were. My favorite food is chocolate. So now that I have changed my diet and I am working out 5 days a week,…

  • I'm 24 and have ANOTHER friend getting married this year that is forcing me into a bridesmaid's dress! I dropped 20 pounds last time but would really like to do this the healthy way instead of the diet pill way so I have joined the gym and decided that I am going to use the counter on here and hopefully drop around 30…
