  • I totally know what you mean. I try to hold off on wine until close to dinner time. Usually after dinner I really don't want anymore wine. If I hold off I pretty much stick to just one glass.
  • We all have areas that shape up faster than others. If you haven't reached your goal weight yet the areas that you are having trouble with may be the last ones to go.
  • I try not to eat more than half of my exercise calories and I don't worry if I don't eat them
  • I always do this. I usually plan my dinners for the week (either I do that or no one eats at my house) and I enter all of the dinners for the week on MFP. This helps me plan how to alot calories for the rest of my meals and snacks.
  • I don't. There are days when friends come over or I go out to eat that throw me off so I just follow the diet as much as possible and then I don't stress over the occasional spontaneous meal out. If you go ahead and take a cheat day on Friday and then suddenly decide to go out on Saturday you've kind of thrown yourself…
  • I totally know what you mean about the swing your leg through thing. My legs don't go that way either!!!
  • How often are you eating? I think that having snacks in between each meal helps. It has helped me. I have cottage cheese with pineapples, a handful of almonds, low fat string cheese. I some times even have my dinner salad in the afternoon if I'm really hungry and I'm afraid that I'm going to blow it.
  • Pork tenderloin is great and it is a lean cut of meat. I marinate it and grill it or put it in the crock pot with BBQ sauce and shred it to make pulled pork. I also grill chicken breast and put it over salad greens with a low fat cesar dressing for a quick meal. I also like low fat yogert with frozen berries in it. The…
  • Portion control is a great lesson. Also maybe you could tell her that she needs to become involved in an activity. Let her pick her interest as long as it involves some sort of exercise -- swim team, dance lessons, horse back riding (my personal favorite).
  • I've been doing Jillian Micahels too. I am going to start with just P90 then try to work to P90X.
  • Not exactly. For example if you have an 8 oz drink 4 oz juice and 4oz water then you would use the calorie/nutrition data for 4 oz juice.
  • That's a tough one! One thing that might help is planning ahead by several days to a week and have food and meals ready to go for the next day.
  • Welcome, you will get losts of support and good ideas here. Feel free to add me as a friend.
  • Your body will eventually adjust to your new diet. It is not uncommon for this to happen when you increase your fiber intake which you are probably doing to loose weight. If it gets too bad back off on the fiber a little and give yourself a chance to adjust.
  • Oh, I totally agree! The crock pot is my best friend. Who knows what I would cook (or worse, order out) when I got home from work if I didn't have it to fall back on.
  • I'm a recovery room nurse and I love my job!!!
