not recommended, would suggest you use those for leg raises etc. and NOT walk around with those strapped to your leg, can't remeber what they will affect, did read long time back, that they do, try and google it :-)

most dry dishes will be OK, especially things like chicken tikka, tandoori chicken, tandoori fish tikka, seekh kebabs etc. for the main course you could just have the above with roti / chappati and order dal ( NOT Makhani Dal), most veg should also be OK however I personally love a Garlic Naan with a gravy dish like mutton…

my 2 bits:- move the lunch to dinner and dinner to lunch, exercise daily , cardio at least 20 minutes on an empty stomach, some strength training using dumb-ells or body weight. loads of water throughout the day, vary your exercise / strength every 6 weeks at least , try a group exercise class or play a sport once a week…
