I have a 7 year old and 23 month old daughter, youngest daughter will eat anything going, eldest one can be a little fussy. So we do things like the following. Homemade lasagne - packed with veggies. Make sure you read the lasagne sauce labels as calories etc can vary, alternatively make your own. I always make my own…

I've been doing it for a whole 75 days now, love it and love seeing how I can further improve my diet i.e not starve myself but make healthier food choices!

Just as a note, if you do up you may find that you put a little back on, ride it out and then weight will steadily start to come off. Just so you don't jump straight back down to 1200 cals. Looks at other people's diaries for inspiration on healthy eating too and make better choices with your foods so you feel fuller…

MFP seems to give everyone 1200. In the long term it's not sustainable and will leave you craving foods and bingeing. This is a good calculator to work out more accurate calories http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Look at this to work out what your cal intake should be. And good luck! http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

It will probably make you put on a little, I upped my calories from the 1200 to my TDEE which came in around 1700. But if you continue with the exercise it will work itself out. I have lost the couple of pounds that I put back on and am now battling to lose the extra pounds I want to get rid of, but the overall aim is to…

Just seen this response after I posted my other. Track the nuts too, they are high in cals so will make a difference to your diary figures. I had a small portion of pistachios the other night =180 cals Do you like protein shakes, I use USN Diet Fuel which is another 193 cals which is great after the gym. Never been a fan…

I agree with Newme1313 either you are not tracking properly, therefore for all you know you could be overeating, or you could be really malnourishing yourself.. And without tracking properly it's difficult to see where you are going wrong. I track absolutely everything - my diary is open, have a look, look at other diaries…

So did you not eat any calories back burnt through exercise i.e. was it saying you had almost 1200 remaining? If so then you are gonna get a ton of people on your case saying you should be eating your exercise calories back. For me personally I don't know how you weren't starving after burning that amount of cals if that…

Are you running on the treadmill or doing incline fast paced walking. Running improves your fitness whereas fast paced walking on an incline, although improving fitness is better for burning fat. Also, would be good to add some weights in if you are doing the walking as that helps further. Nothing too major just a few…

I have a Polar FT7 which I paid about £60 for on Amazon and I love it! I'm pretty sedentary during the day so a FitBit wouldn't really meet my needs. When I do workouts at the gym I want to know exactly what I am burning in terms of calories and how much of that workout was fat burning vs Fitness and the Polar does that…

I am yet to see any major results but have just invested in a Polar FT7. It shows that when I am doing weights my body is burning more fat. i.e I can do a 30 minute kettlebell routine and 30 minutes on the cross trainer. I burn about the same amount of calories BUT I burn more fat doing the kettlebells. This is what I love…

I have to say that when I first started out the machines were telling me that my HR was within that range. It has come down a bit now. I am 29, 5' 4 and 63.7kg. This morning I have done a 30 min kettlebell workout and have used my Polar FT7 which I bought the other week. Average heart rate 151, maximum 188 so you're not…

I found Fitness Blender yesterday (before seeing these posts). TBH they're pretty good and I'm quite happy with using those. I just really hate the yay way to go, you are doing awesome when they can't see you DVD's. I could be sat on my *kitten* doing nothing and have them saying that. Just did a Fitness Blender Kettlebell…

I just saw a 30 minute ad for KettleWorx on the Fitness Channel on Sky. Looks good but I don't want to spend so much when I mainly go to the gym, this is for that extra session during the week when time is short and on weekends. Might have a look on ebay / Amazon though to see if they have any going cheap. Thanks

I read something yesterday that someone said they had used in a pool, but that you shouldn't press any buttons whilst in the pool. There was a link to the Polar site saying it was fine. I've just bought an FT7

I am on this journey trying to live as normal as possible whilst making healthier choices so that once I meet my GW it is easier to maintain. I have the odd glass of wine during the week (I had 2 last night) and the other week we went to a concert and I drunk plenty of Vodka lime lemonade's and I am still meeting my goals.…

I have just bought myself a Polar FT7 from Amazon, mainly based on the reviews plus I'd been gifted with a £50 voucher to spend. Should be here tomorrow. Looking forward to using it! It cost £65 so cheaper I'm not sure what to recommend, I just liked the look of this particular one and thought (or rather hope) to get…

I've heard running is the best thing for the legs - but have only heard. I don't have experience in that.
-
I upped mine slowly from 1200 to 1700 and it has made me feel much better. Weight loss stalled for a week then lost a 1lb then another 1.3lb's this week. Plus if you are more active with working the additional days that will help too.

a lot of headaches are due to the body not getting enough hydration - get some water. Try stay away from sodas I find they make me worse.

depends on size, type of coffee as an example and the type of milk you use.

No matter what i have said it sticks my minimum calories to 1200, i did this for 4 weeks and I was losing but 1200 cals was just killing me and made me think about food more. A lot of people have recommended a calculator from some site called Scooby - I entered all my details and it gave me a daily calorie intake of 1770 -…

100% honest - I actually posted something similar the other week as I thought my diary looked huge! Even sauces should be recorded - it's suprising just how many calories condiments contain! and things like beverages - these definitely need to be tracked - I saw McD's in the US had a St. Patricks shake with over 800…

Try eating something high cal that is good for you, so peanuts (unsalted), seeds, even dried fruit. I sometimes have a bowl of raisins, sunflower seeds and apricots on my desk to stall my cravings for chocolate during the day. I could for the same amount of calories have a nice big piece of chococolate - but with what I…

I put mine in as Aerobics general at low intensity, it's hard to work out how much an individual will burn doing LBT unless you have one of those watches that can figure it out for you as it takes into accounts various information. I am thinking about getting one of the watches to gain more of an accurate insight though.…

First thing don't deny yourself. Just think of healthy options e.g grilled chicken with a side salad instead of chips. Avoid the bread basket too! Keep dressings minimal but enjoy it, it sounds like with the walking you have planned you will burn a good few hundred calories. Just consider whether or not you need that…

I've just recently started the pre-logging that way if a particular meal is high in cals etc I can ensure other meals throughout the day aren't. I prepped today's meals last night so was able to weigh out and so on - so today is pretty accurate. Otherwise I mainly pre log with things like half a carton of soup, my…

love this and I thought my diary was long! Think I'm gonna try some protein powders - have been adding weights into my workouts so gonna give it a go!

Comments are all great. Yeah I saw the recipe builder and every now and again I use it but I mainly use the app on my phone so it's not as easy to do that way. However I also mix my meals up a little - my lasagnes are never the same from one to the next! That is why I prefer to log individual ingredients - this mainly…
