Holy cow.. I just looked at your diary. Please, Please get some help. My wife was anorexic at your age and now as an adult she has suffered through a host of medical issues: gall bladder... gone, thyroid... gone. Joint issues including her spine. Ligament, tendon issues... 2 knee surgeries, 1 neck surgeries... more to…

ahhh... you edited while I was replying. Her exercise is inconsistent. I'm not suggesting any 'rest/training cycling' but trying to maintain a reasonable consistent calorie deficit daily... or at least maintaining no more then a 1000 deficit on days she exercises heavily.

At least on the days you exercise a lot. One day it looked like you had a 3000 calorie deficit. Your body can't be happy with that. Based on the 1200cal/day I'm assuming you put in a goal of 2 lbs loss per week. That means MFP has you already at a 1000 calorie deficit which most experts recommend to be the max. That means…

Not even close to not eating enough. With a goal of 1200 cal/day ( likely not enough to begin with ) you have to eat back your workout calories. After several months of sever calorie deficits your BMR has likely lowered. Someone will come along and post the link to the roadmap that will help you calculate how much you…

When I was a restaurant manager we were required to wipe down everything in a weak bleach solution.

I have the same issues. With kids its tough to figure out their TDEE. The normal calculators do not seem to work very well. I did find this site that supposedly calculates TDEE for kids. http://www.bcm.edu/cnrc/healthyeatingcalculator/eatingCal.html

It depends on what activity level you put in. If you put in "Moderately Active: Moderate exercise or activity 3-5 days per week." then your workouts have already been calculated into your TDEE and your MFP calculations. ( and you wouldn't log your exercise ) If you put Sedentary then you need to log your exercise and eat…

It's almost impossible to have human studies for dietary issues that are conclusive because you can't restrict a human diet for a long enough time. It's fine to restrict a mouses diet to pure sugar water for 30-60 days and compare it to pure HFCS diet but you'll never be able to do studies like that on humans. Long term…

I'm not an expert. However I've spent the last 3 weeks reading the forum and there is a common theme for people just starting out... they cut their calories way down and start exercising. That's a recipe for disaster and leads to binges. My goal is only to lose 1 lb per week and I'm actually losing 1 1/2 per week without…

Ignore BMI and instead calculate your body fat using tools like here: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/

Now that I figured out what 57Kg is in pounds ( 126 ) I think that 1.1 pounds per week is really aggressive and hard to hit without under eating which might have the opposite effect then you want. 1/2 pound per week might be a more realistic goal. Andy

You don't use BMR (Basil Metabolic Rate)... you use TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expenditure). TDEE is calculated from your BMR and activity level. After you calculate TDEE you eat 500 calories less or better yet... TDEE - 20%. MFP will calculate everything for you if you go through the goal setting process. From reading the…

You have spacing in the img tags... but it won't work because that is a page and not an image

Agree

If your TDEE activity level already includes things like this then you wouldn't include it. If it doesn't and and there is significant walking then log it. Better yet get a fitbit and if it thinks you are walking more then your activity level it will put in the adjustment for you.

Homemade every week

Congrats on hitting your goal. You look fantastic. As others said... increase slowly... preferably with clean, healthy foods. I'm not an expert but I would guess now is the best time to do strength training and lifting to improve your metabolism which will make it easier to maintain your current weight while eating more.…

Seems to be a fairly common problem for people starting out. For people to give you (good) advice you'll have to give out your stats... age, height, weight, current calorie targets and exercise patterns. Andy

Because a lot of fads, dieting myths, and other pseudo-science ideas are 'working' for a short time but are not sustainable over the long term which means they really are not working. This, and every other weight loss forum, is filled with posts from people complaining that their: 1200 cal diet or cleansing diet or juicing…

<<A "cheat" day for me would constitute eating a maintenance level of calories>> This. ^^ During the week I try to have a deficit but on the weekends we tend to go out for a meal or make something like pizza. On those days I try to only eat to my TDEE and will exercise to make sure I don't have much of a calorie surplus.…

I don't remember if this is true of Disney World but in Disneyland there are a ton of fruit carts. We try to snack on those to limit the amount we eat in the meals. Eat something healthy at the hotel for breakfast instead of at the parks. You can have groceries delivered to your hotel room... we usually stock up on water…

Le Cellier Steakhouse in Paris in Epcot was real nice. We really enjoyed both Prime Time and Sci Fi dining in hollywood studios. I wasn't a fan of the dining plan when we did it. Most plans come with deserts which I wouldn't eat otherwise. Also... we didn't want to wast unused credits so we ended up converting them into…

Not sure I'm allowed to post this... if not, delete it mods. www.DisneyMouseLinks.com We started it after during/after our 1st trip with my son at 14 months.... we had a horrible time finding out information about traveling to Disneyland with babies/toddlers. Andy

Yes Context and Dosage. The study wasn't a study of this issue but a review of other studies. Those other studies weren't studies about processed meat and cancer... just studies that included dietary information and health information. Correlation does not imply causation I'm not claiming nitrates are good for anyone but I…

My wife and I run a Disney website so we go yearly. We normally go to Disneyland in CA.... we were there over Christmas and will be there a few days in June. The new Carsland is wonderful but oh so crowded. We bought the annual pass that allows us to go to both Disneyland and Disney World so this year we will also be going…
