For Skyrobics I log it as the aerobics, high intensity choice on mpf. For 1 hour I trust it's about the right calorie count (400+).

I just got an Omron HJ-320 pedometer from Amazon as I was feeling the same way about fitbit. This one cost me less than $20. Counts steps accurately and also shows distance. It can hold 7 days in memory so I'm just keeping an excel sheet to track it longer. So far an excellent choice.
