Hi I'm Rob, from Leeds in the UK. Been running since mid 2006. Ran 4 marathons, best time so far 3:24, but feel I could run 3:10 with a good injury free period and weight loss...but currently injured, with very little running since July last year. Still hoping to run Berlin marathon in September.

From where I am now it's 27lb minimum and ideally 35lb to go. Be very happy to be friends with anyone with a target that's at all similar!

I'd agree with this. The 1200 a day is probably based on having a deficit of around 1000 kcals. If you burn another 400 in exercise AND eat those you'll still have a 1000 deficit. Personally I'd eat them. Not always same day but balance it out over the course of the week. Your allowance of carbs, protein, fats etc changes…

You can't set a limit of 'x' miles for each change. It depends on the weight of the runner, the surface the miles are ran on, how fast you run in them and the make and model of the shoe. Bets to judge by feel i'd say.
