  • Based on the age in your profile, the period of time you are looking at is from 15 years old to 20 years old - during that period you were transitioning from adolescence to adulthood. Strength generally peaks in the mid-twenties. Time is on your side, at least for now.
  • Perhaps you left out a critical piece of information regarding your boyfriend, why can't your boyfriend tend to his own needs? Put another way, why does his needs take priority over yours? Unless there is a reason your boyfriend is incapable of taking care of some of his own needs and reducing the burden on you, I would…
  • I presume you intended ""real women" have XX" - Y is the male sex chromosome.
  • It would be ok if you are not obligated to sign a one year contract. If you are and you get injured, sick or simply sick of it or your finances change you are stuck paying.
  • I ran on Monday at lunch it was -35C with the wind chill. It was fine when you are running but in the city you get stopped by the traffic lights and you get cold quick. The hardest thing about running in the cold I find is my glasses fog if I wear a face mask. Not sure what the solution is - I can't see without my glasses.
  • I use dry shampoo if I am in a rush.
  • I ski every weekend - I time 3 runs to get an average and then count the number of runs. Where I ski the runs are fairly short - so even though I am on the hill for 4 hrs I am only actually skiing for 1 hr, the rest of the time you are on the lift or in line. I record only 1 hr not 4 hrs - you wouldn't count the time…
  • Wow-great work. Has the excess skin caused you any non-cosmetic problems - like ulcers or sores or negatively impacted your ability to exercise?
  • http://www.ewg.org/research/tuna-calculator Above is a link to a calculator for calculating how much you can safely consume. What about eating canned salmon instead.
  • I just noticed that you said you live in a rural area. If you have a bike that you use outside, you could in the winter set it up on a bike trainer. It is cheaper then a treadmill and takes up a lot less space. I have a cyclo ops trainer and it was about $400. I always get a great workout using it.
  • I live in Ottawa. I chickened out and didn't run outside today. I will run outside to about -20C. I have a Precor treadmill. If you are going to buy one I would recommend buying a good one. That being said I hate the "dread mill". It is mind numbing. If we didn't have the wind chill warning today, I would have run outside.…
  • I had thyroid cancer 3 years ago. Right after surgery I lost a lot of weight because my replacement dosing was to high. I gained the weight back and then some when my dosing was adjusted. If I am honest with myself, I gained the weight because I was eating too much. I always exercised. Once I decided to watch what I eat it…
  • Don't rush it. If you aren't comfortable doing the 20 minute run, add a couple of weeks of 10 and 1.
  • I live in Ottawa. It gets cold. The one piece of advice I would give that hasn't been given yet is carry a Mylar (space) blanket in your coat pocket. They are very compact and inexpensive (couple of dollars) and could become critical if you slip and fall. Also, you can put studs into the bottom of your shoes for extra…
  • -25C but I keep the run to about 40 min
