Thank you for all of the thoughts so far. I have done a little light weight lifting in the past, but not within the last month or two. I didn't enjoy it enough to want to keep it up. To be honest, I would rather do something that I enjoy and therefore know I will be able to keep up with for the rest of my life... not just…

I forgot to mention but I am only nineteen... I live at home with my family, who has done a great job of encouraging me with this.

Let yourself have a cheat day and eat some mexican food! It sounds like you deserve it! Also, find some exercise you love. I really hate exercise too. I've come to tolerate anymore and mostly just stick with walking, the stationary bike, and sometimes Zumba. When I'm walking or doing the stationary bike, I tend to listen…

bump I make yogurt biscuits... because I LOVE biscuits. :) Google a recipe. :)

I normally cheat once a week and you can check my ticker, I've lost a little over ten pounds. I would honestly prefer to cheat less but things come up normally once a week.... just like you have golfing on the weekends. I wouldn't stress out too much over it though if you are worried, still eat the food and drink provided…

Bump. Sounds incredible! :)

What she said. I had a stationary bike and I would watch an episode of Psych while I biked. That gave me about forty minutes of biking and it was enjoyable to me because I got to watch my Psych episode. Oh, and I had a really clever name for it... Bike n' Psych. :)

I know some people say breakfast isn't important, I don'd know if it is or not but I happen to love it and I'm hungry in the mornings so I eat it. :) I eat several different things for breakfast depending on the day and how much time I have and what I have on hand. 1) Cereal (Cracklin Oat Bran or Kashi Go Lean Crunch) with…

I eat several different things for breakfast depending on the day and how much time I have and what I have on hand. 1) Cereal (Cracklin Oat Bran or Kashi Go Lean Crunch) with half a cup plain nonfat greek yogurt 2) Grits with 1/3 cup shredded cheese 3) Greek Yogurt Pancakes (search the recipe in the forum posts, that's how…

I've only ever had a couple non-immediate family members tell me that I looked good/looked like I had lost weight. Honestly though, I wasn't too overweight to begin with. Plenty of people have told me though that I don't look like I need to lose weight, which I guess is pretty close to saying it looks like I've lost…

Normally I am over by anything from about 20 -50 grams. Today quite surprisingly, I am under. Most of my sugar comes from natural sources (fruit and milk) though so I am really not too concerned. As other people said, I believe the recommendation is for ADDED sugars, not NATURAL sugars.

I'd love to be in too! Thanks for doing this. :)

Yes for Temple Grandin! That was a hidden gem that my family discovered as well.

I have within the last year had a fish problem. It really upsets my stomach. I haven't thrown up from it yet but I sure felt like it. It's too bad since its so good for you and I do like it.

Try subbing greek yogurt.

I don't have a solution but I am a 19 year old college student and I've never gone out drinking. So yes, there are those who don't... just saying.

Love them all though I've never tried this almond fudge. I need to look for it.

Peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I use sugar free jam and 45 cal per slice bread. But unless I really don't have many calories left, I am going to use the real peanut butter every time.

I've never done the Jillian Michaels videos but I've heard their intense so I might not recommend it. Perhaps if you could suffice with some walking? I had poison ivy on my legs a couple weeks back, which I am sure is the best analogy, and I mostly just did walking.

That sounds like fun. You can friend me. :) Warning... I'm very competitive!

I tend to have a light supper so I'll just be having a sandwich tonight.

I usually bring a granola bar and grapes.

I was having cravings last night so I just put my retainer in.... can't eat then.

For me, I had known I was getting up there for a long time but when I finally tipped over into the overweight category for BMI... that's when I decided to make some changes.

This... I really think the term "starvation mode" is used to liberally.
