  • On behalf of dogs everywhere, I am offended! Woof! =) As far as my advice: If you're okay with him cheating on you again after this, then by all means stay with him. If you aren't willing to forgive him when he cheats again, then you should leave.
  • I let my busy life dictate convenience take-out foods. I use my busy job as an excuse to nap on the couch with the dog when I get home instead of putting on workout clothes. But for the past ~8 weeks I haven't been using these easy outs, and I feel much better mentally and physically =)
  • I have been sore for many days after workouts; however, I've never been woken up by "throbbing pain." If it's so bad that it's affecting your sleep, then it's an issue. I second talking to your trainer about it.
  • I'd have to search for a specific person, but I'd like to be in the 20-22% range body fat!
  • Did you see yourself eating this same way for the rest of your life? If not, then stop depriving yourself. You've already put 6 weeks into your current diet, but it seems unsustainable if you're getting bored and distracted by it. If you want a peanut butter cookie, have one or 2, just don't have 5 cookies. And plan for it…
  • Steamed or raw is my goto preparation method. Spinach and asparagus are tops for steaming. Bell peppers and baby carrots are my tops for raw. I'll also throw most vegetables (raw) into an egg white omelet/scramble with some hot sauce. I also like most vegetables roasted, but I have to be more mindful about how much I eat…

  • Wow - great job - especially in overcoming those mental limitations! I know about those (though on a much smaller scale: lower back and ~9 years). It is so tough to want to be physically strong & active and yet you really believe that you could mess your body up if you try too hard, so you just let time slip away not doing…
  • A comment on writing style: "I considered surgery but then realized it was a huge cop out. YES maybe if she has other issues it felt like the ONLY option but like the person said right above me, at what cost?" If you just mean to talk about just yourself, then you shouldn't switch the pronoun to "she." It sounds like…
  • Perhaps a better topic title would be, "What deliciousness are you indulging in today?" For me, this remains to be seen =) I did have more peanut butter than I usually do on my sandwich....

  • ^^^ This is what I do too! I look here, google search, and I look on youtube for success stories. I've also been taking my picture each week, so I look at my pictures when I want to see how far I've come and that what I'm doing is working. I also notice that I feel stronger and better.
  • Awesome accomplishment! I am on week 4, so I understand what you had to do to reach this milestone. Congratulations! I look forward to being where you are in your running!
  • Awesome results so far! Congratulations =)
  • Honestly, if my wife acted that way I'd be so pissed off and angry at her! As it is, I'm amazed at how not angry and how compassionate you are about it. It sounds to me like this is the kind of situation you should see a couples counselor for. There must be some issues going on for your wife to be willing to hurt you in…

  • It may also help to have something straight in front of you to focus on. I remember I used to run /walk into the side rails at the gym when I'd watch a tv that was off to the side (I'd start moving towards the tv haha).

  • I just bumped this, but in case you missed it, free (quiet) yoga: http://www.doyogawithme.com/
  • I think eating out at a restaurant is kind of rude to the other patrons who are trying to enjoy their meals.
  • I downloaded the c25k app from Zen Labs onto my phone, and I'm about to start my fourth week. The advice I'd give is to assess yourself: do you feel like you can easily walk for 30 minutes? If so, then go right ahead and start c25k (you run for one minute at a time the first week). Do listen to your body! Any new running…
  • but if I can't lol and wOOt then I'll actually have to think about what I write when I really just want to acknowledge someone's accomplishment. =)

  • What I love for dessert right now: Garden Lites Veggie Muffin, Zucchini Chocolate - You keep these frozen, and when you want one, pop it in the microwave for 35 seconds. Once it's heated, I put it in a dipping bowl and put a small amount of ice cream (usually 1-2 small spoonfuls) on top. The muffin is 120 calories. The ice…
  • From the research I've read, it's not that you drink green tea and lose weight/fat just like that *snap*. You don't start eating more calories and then figure the green tea can balance it out. I think it's more that all else being equal, if you add green tea into your diet, you may see your waist shrink a little more than…
