http://blog.seattlepi.com/cookusinterruptus/2013/05/28/why-you-should-keep-eating-grains/ A little reading goes a long ways :)

Not entirely correct -- whole grains do not create a rise in insulin and can, in fact have a negative impact (often referred to as a negative Glycemic Index). Whole grains do the opposite of what you claim. This is the problem today: everyone thinks carbs are bad because they read it somewhere but seem to miss the whole…

Yes hang in there! :) and a week without change is nothing...heck I went 3 weeks without much change recently but I knew it was my own fault so I dropped my sodium intake (I'd been abusing sodium) and BAM! 5 pounds down almost overnight (ok in a week). Another thing to consider is that you've lost (according to your ticker…

For clarity by cereal I mean 'Cereal Grains' like Oatmeal, Wheat Berries, Chia etc.

ce·re·al [ sree əl ] grain: the nutritious grain produced by a cultivated plant belonging to the grass family, e.g. oats, barley, rye, wheat, rice, and corn For clarity I decided to post that.

Refined sugars are bad, simple carbs CAN be bad, but CARBS in general ARE NOT bad for you!! I eat Oatmeal, Wheat Berries and Chia with Agave Necter for…

By pushing my cardio well beyond the initial carb burning phase (20-30 mins so I've read) then, in theory, you're into the fat burning…

I'm sorry :( Didn't mean to sound like I was asking a question. Was just trying to help by showing what I do. Good luck

I think if you aren't hungry then don't force it unless there is an issue there (as in you're eating so little that the body is shutting down). Some people just don't eat that much (my wife being one of them) or they drink 600 cals in coffee and cream for breakfast (hmmm sounds like my wife! lol). For me 'eating back' what…

I think this happens in some part because people don't understand what that really means (active)....a construction worker is active. I sit at a computer all day but ride or walk for an hour (or so) every lunch (except my two days off a week which usually lie on the weekend) and so I choose 'Sedentary'. Consider: I'm…
