I am a true meat eater. Couldn't live without my chicken and the odd steak. My fella is a vegetarian. We have a 3 1/2 year old daughter together and as much as i have tried to tempt her into eating meat from an early age, she wont touch it. Nor will she touch the artificial meat (i.e. meat free replicas) that her daddy…

Wow, is that really you in the first picture?!! You look so different!! Amazing work, well done and yes, you should be so VERY proud of yourself!

So glad you got rid of that W*nker! The meanest thing (that i can remember) that someone said to me was when i got on the underground and went to sit down in a seat next to some bloke who was sitting there with his legs really wide open. When i looked at him as if to say "can you move your legs please" he just said…

I used to love only crunchy pb but now i adore the smooth! Must be an age thing lol.

I used to get this too but it just turned out that the trainers were too tight for my feet and/or tied too tightly! :blushing:

Can you do push ups on your knees? If the 8lb weight is too heavy, use the lighter one. Some weight is better than no weight!
-
Not a lot really!! Going to the gym tomorrow morning, then possibly going for a bike ride with my fella in the afternoon. AFter that we hope to fall into the pub and have dinner there. Sunday morning i will be in the gym again. Wow, dont i have an exciting life!!

I used to carry my daughter in a meitai and i loved it! I used a Bamberoo until she was about 2 1/2 years old. Never needed a chest strap with it although there are variations of tieing the straps to make a chest strap ifyou need to. I highly recommend them and really really wish i could still babywear!! It was a very sad…

Please feel free to add me - and that goes for anyone! I also need support and encouragement too and sometimes when i do a blardy good work out and no one says "well done!" it makes me feel a bit pleh. Having said that, i know i should be doing the exercise and praising myself and shouldn't be doing it for anyone else but…

If you like, I am happy to email you my recipes (it's a Word doc). Message me with your email address if you're interested.

You may think i'm really sad and/or anal but i have written out a 5 week menu plan for dinners. I know exactly what i'm going to eat for dinner every day for 5 weeks! I have done this because i get so stressed out if i have to decide at dinner time what i'm supposed to be cooking for dinner, rather than knowing in advance…

I have an FT4 too and it's fabulous! I dont work out without it - ever!! The gym equipment will probably say you are burning more as it just generalises calorie burn rather than doing an actual calculation, but obviously the FT4 will be a lot more accurate than the gym stuff!
-
Hello and welcome!! Hope you have a fabulous journey here! :flowerforyou:
-
Wouldn't it be awful if everyone just melted all over the place at the gym!! I did wonder about exercising in the heat too actually as my HRM said i burn less calories on a hot day than i do on a cold day during my work outs and now i know why! Thanks! :flowerforyou:

I feel your frustrations! My fella sometimes does the same thing to me, although now that he's got the exercise bug, he hardly does it. It's amazing how many people's partners do the same thing! I think sometimes underneath it all they can start to feel a bit insecure about their partners starting to lose weight and maybe…

I wear a HRM and also burn anything from 450-650 cals! I have created my own exercise, called Body Combat (funnily enough!) and log it under that. :)
-
Oh i have one of those too, foxy!!

Chatham! :) Feel free to add me too!

Good afternoon everyone! I weighed in this morning at 241.6 ! (aka 17 st 3.6lbs) Yay!!
-
If i'm eating something i'll think of how many calories i'll save if i dont eat it all. Then i will weigh what i've not eaten and work out how many calories i HAVEN'T eaten! Obviously i do this at home, not at a restaurant!

I quite often end up doing leg presses with my daughter when we play "superman"! Basically, i'm laying on the bed on my back and then i put my feet on her tummy and hold her hands and then WHOOOOOSH!!! I lift my legs up and she feels like she's flying!! She loves them but OMG it kills after about 10 times!

Thanks for your replies everyone. I have to say that i dont wash my strap, as such, but obviously wet the pads before i put it on. Maybe it should be slightly tighter so that it doesn't move. Maybe it wasn't positioned correctly or moved about when i was doing the (wonderful!) clean and press press presses!! (they are a…

Today i weighed in at 244.8 lbs, so i have gone UP. *SIGH*

Hmmm, I wouldn't say Body Combat is anywhere near as hard as Kickboxing! My fella has just taken this up and from the exercises they have got him doing, Combat is pretty much a walk in the park! I would deffo just log it under general aerobics.
-
You could just do it under Aerobics/General or something like that. The ideal way would be to get a heart rate monitor and then you can add it yourself and will have an accurate guide for the amount of calories you actually burned. :)

I'm in Kent too. Add me if you like! :)

Friday nights and all day Saturday are my weakness too. Tonight i've had a chicken kebab, which isn't bad in itself, but it was accompanied by a few chips and two very large glasses of red wine!! Tomorrow i'll be going to the gym in the morning but then will be going straight to McDonalds with my friend afterwards as…

Hahaha!! Thank you!!
