logging my food has made me more careful of my choices, period. When I start thinking something sounds good, I will think "do I want to log this?" or perhaps "Can I afford this calorie-wise?" It has made me make more wise choices.

good. I like this post. You are thinking healthy, If you do what you did today, and add those fruits and veggies, you well be eating a good healthy diet and good healthy number of calories. :) Proud of you

If it is the end of the day, I have 300 calories left to work with and I have 1 small bite of something. I probably will not log it. If I do that a couple times during the day, I log it

that homemade piece of chocolate candy with cashews and raisins I happily took lay st Tuesday night even though I had only 50 calories left for the day? I was happy to hear the maker of that candy say that she does not allow calories in her candy and that cashews have very little calories. (not!! but I ate it anyway)

you are doing a good job on protein. I would add more fruits and vegetables (preferably fresh and aim for 5 a day). Make sure when you do work out that you eat back your calories. Make sure your "net" calories are at least 1200 (net = your total eaten calories minus exercise calories). I am glad you are choosing to eat a…

if outside is not really an option, Leslie Sansone videos are pretty cheap with no weight limit. Her workouts are good and have helped me get moving.

Log it, and let go of it. get back on track tomorrow. A treat now and then (not too often though) will help us stay on track

those that feel nauseous after eating fruits and veggies should probably check with a doctor--especially with bathroom time afterwards. There are health issues (especially involving the colon and intestines) that can cause this.

I hear ya about paychecks. Your diary looks pretty good, not sure what the bliss thing in the am is, and would probably get rid of the chips except as an occasional treat. Make sure you hit that 1400 calorie goal--don't go far under and don't feel bad if you go a little over. But fill your fridge with lots of fresh fruits…

perfect.

that helps. thanks

I went through a similar thing. A week off turned into a month off and before I knew it, a year and a half went by. I am learning to allow myself a treat meal occasionally--maybe once every week or two. someone brings a treat to work, I will allow myself a bite or if my calories are low for the day, maybe a small piece.

I will be watching this thread with interest as well. I do a lot of fruits and veggies and very little refined sugar, but am over in sugar every day

mostly water 10-13 glasses a day, and I allow myself one diet Pepsi a day

I am guessing that came from the recommended amount for a person weighing 120 pounds

I am in the camp with those who say half your body weight in ounces of water. I have had a nutritionist tell me this. for me, that is around 115 ounces of water a day. I rarely drink that much but usually get 88-104 ounces a day--usually closer to 104. I do not count my caffeine free diet Pepsi as part of my liquid…

I agree with this suggestion. Go talk to the neighbors. If they have to get up a 5 am, they might now appreciate it.

3 more miles ....... done

haven't decided between a broccoli floret or a cashew

I don't do cheat days. I will do a cheat meal from time to time or allow myself a treat. Mostly I try to plan the rest of the day around it and try not to go more than a couple hundred calories over my daily goal (often minimized by exercise), but I don't worry about it if I go over once every couple weeks or so.

this especially between good friends.

did not get in here yesterday--3 more miles and 2 to go

I am making a guess that you are probably doing high protein and very low carb. do lots of fruits and veggies and add some whole grains. not white breads but make sure the first ingredient is whole grain. that will help to satisfy you. Make sure, with the added fiber, that you are drinking a lot of water (not just liquids,…

because they have been sharing clothes since they were young children

If you have been sharing clothes most of your life with this friend, I say let her know you are looking to get rid of clothes and/or do the facebook thing. She might be offended if she isn't offered clothing when you have been sharing most of your life. Only you would know her personality enough to know if she would be…

no it is not. I was told once that it is best to poop after every meal otherwise it is sitting inside your intestines and fermenting. I usually go at least twice a day. that is if I am eating enough whole grains, fruits, veggies and drinking enough water.

I should have made my goal ten pounds instead of 6. I am now at 238.8 (2.8 pounds from 10 pounds down)
