  • What smirnoff said. I fast on alternate days so I'm used to the results going up and down but the trend is still pretty obvious and I get to celebrate new low weights all the time. If I only weighed weekly or monthly I'd be afraid I might take my eye off the ball.
  • Father - check Fitbit - check Insanity - check Happy to connect :)
  • I've been doing full blown alternate days with no food whatsoever (usually only 2-3 cappuccinos) on DD since Jan and have lost 93 pounds so far...
  • Hi, 47, only about 1.5 stone to go now but I have lost 6.5 stone since Jan. Happy to get more UK friends in a similar boat!
  • Not sure if this thread is too old to resurrect. I am 39.4kg down, 10.6 to go so happy for anyone to add me for some shared motivation.
  • That's an incredible difference Zurgan. Great work!
  • I know I'm in the danger zone where "good enough" might stop me from hitting my target and my few friends have all stopped logging so definitely looking for some more!
  • 1. My quality of sleep has improved tremendously 2. I can get up off the floor without needing something to lever myself up 3. My wife can get her arms all the way around me again!
  • Some amazing transformations on this thread! Here's my work-in progress.on my way to 85kg I hope.
  • Time to bump this thread back to life. There must be more of us out there. Not many replies from West London on the thread but that's where I am. Would welcome more London friends for motivation now I've done the 'easy' bit of my drive to better health and try to shift that last stone and a halfish.
  • Today's challenge is to get my total weight loss to 6 stone (currently 5 stone 13lb), but then I'll be 4lb away from being less than 15 stone, and then only a pound away from having lost 40kg. Mini-goals abound... That's kept me motivated to completed > 10000 steps according to my Fitbit and my second Taekwondo class for…
  • David, 47 from London Lost 37kg/80lb through a mix of ADF/Taekwondo/Insanity/Fitbit. Now coming on to the hard part as I try to stay focussed and lose the last 12kg/25lb
  • I agree, it isn't terribly useful. I've been fasting (no solid food at all) every other day since the beginning of the year so on a fast day I consume about 200 calories and MFP says I'm not eating enough. On eating days I vary between trying to keep roughly to the daily target (which has mostly been around 1500 cals) and…
  • Hi all, I guess I'm late to the party, as usual. I can't quite believe it myself but I am in the latter part of my mid-40s and am keen to use any method at my disposal to keep me on track.
  • That's quite possible. It might explain the un-followed-up "I'm just starting ADF" posts... My own experience of 5:2 from last year was that I found getting back to fasting after two or three days of eating normally seemed to be more and more of a drag as time went on. I lost 10kg but only lasted for 5 weeks and it slowly…
  • I typically have no energy problems on fast days. My sleeping has improved dramatically over the lasts 3 months. Obviously weight loss helps but if I have a 'bad' eating day I notice that I don't sleep anywhere near as well! Like Jestinia, I often don't eat breakfast the morning after a fast day, simply because I'm not…
  • I posted here because it's at the top of the searches for Alternate Day Fasting and the specific group hasn't received a single post in the last month...
  • It would be great to see some updates from some of the people who have said "I'm going to start ADF" or "I'm on day 4" to see how they're getting on. I'm on day 111 of ADF... My "regime" is 0 calories from food on fasting days which have been literally every other day since I started, including my birthday, family…
