  • I hear what you are saying but if I lose any more weight I'll be under 100 pounds which doesn't sound healthy to me. I will keep watching my calorie intake....I usually stay at my 1200 mark unless I burn alot of calories, then I'm hungrier thoughout the day so if I'm under my calorie goal it's usually by 75-100 calories…

  • Thanks! the link is helpful......I'm definitely a stress tummy or bloated tummy....although I finally quit my job in june after years of unhappiness and now I'm a SAHM....my stress levels have diminished considerably....lol.....I did just find out I have an allergy to tomatoes although the allergist said I can continue to…

  • I think you can enjoy without overdoing it. I already know what my sister is making so I'm going to look up the serving size beforehand (my mother gets crazy when she sees me counting calories). I am making one of the side dishes so I'm making sure to use a recipe that has the nutritional information. Since I started with…
  • I go over my sugar pretty much every day. It's very difficult to stay within the prescribed number. At first I was steering away from my favorite fruits....one navel orange can have over 13 grams of sugar. I began to think this is ridiculous so I went back to eating my pears, apples, grapes, etc....the health benefits of…
  • Cheese pizza from my favorite pizzeria followed by an ice cream sundae with peanut butter, hot fudge, bananas....this is making me hungry
  • I think you have to have a cheat day once in a while. I feel so deprived if I don't have one of my guilty pleasures once in a while. I do have to say that I pay for it afterward though. We went out to dinner this week and I had two glasses of sangria, ordered an appetizer, entree and a rich decadent chocolate mousse…
  • I completely concur with your original post...when I gain 5 pounds it is painfully obvious....if I were taller it wouldn't even show! I understand what you are saying!
  • I started turbo fire a few weeks ago and I love it. I alwas enjoyed Turbo Jam but doing the same workout over and over got boring. This is not boring at all. It includes so many different dvds that you can change it up every day depending on what you are in the mood for and how much time you have. The music is fun and even…
  • I am barely 5'0" and weigh 106 last I weighed in. I use turbo fire, brazil butt lift, turbo jam, 10 minute trainer and many of the Jillian Michael's DVDs. I also take bootcamp type toning classes at the gym where they encourage women to lift more weight....not 5 lb weights. My problem is that I lose weight in my belly last…
  • I like using the HRM because it takes the guesswork out. I have the Polar FT4 chest strap HRM and it takes into consideration not only your weight and height but your age and gender. I just took a High Intensity Bokwa class for 50 minutes and it says I burned around 286 calories....The instructor was wearing a wrist HRM…
  • I just bought a heart rate monitor so when I input my workout I add my own exercises.......I'll put "zumba", or "turbo fire hit 15", 60 minutes, and then whatever the calorie burn from my HRM says after the workout
  • I would get a HRM....I was guesstimating too and the only way to be sort of accurate is with a HRM.
  • I have the Jillian michaels and its good for muscle conditioning but the cardio is not intense enough in my opinion. I love Just Dance...the newer versions have a setting for exercise...it's menu option "just sweat" what's better than burning calories to your favorite tunes? Sometimes my kids join in too! It will even say…
  • I have a protein shake before my morning workouts and when I workout late its is usually after dinner...
  • I just got polar FT4 and love it so far....
  • Boot camp at the gym....
  • I have a big variety of workout DVDs, weights, ankle weights, resistance bands, and a step.....I hate the treadmill so I'd rather a DVD cardio workout.....
  • I've read that the machines are grossly inaccurate and that a heart rate monitor is the way to go....I just started using the polar ft4 and so far it's great.....
  • You might kill the battery sooner.....I take it off as soon as I'm done working out to conserve battery life.
  • I just started turbo fire and love it....I have at least 10 of Jillian's DVDs and they are great but I get bored easily....I mute the tv and put on my own music at this point. i like music and variety....that's why I ordered turbo fire.....I always loved the original turbo jam. So far turbo fire does not disappoint!
  • I think total body which integrates cardio and weights is a great starting point.....I love Jillian michaels because most of her workouts incorporate a little of both....30 day shred and ripped in 30 are great....also she has a set you can buy "the biggest winner: how to win by losing" but you need a step for those…
  • Thanks...can you tell me the name of the app?
  • Thanks....I've been using the Jillian DVDs for several years now but no matter how much I do them or go to the gym the center of my stomach will not flatten so I'm trying to watch my food intake and track calories burned...can you suggest a good HRM...I was looking at the Polaris Ft4
  • Thanks can you tell me the name of the app?
