  • Agreed. Everything you can weigh, you weigh. Period.
  • No one has ever said anything negative to me, but I think that might be because my boyfriend and I go and train together and he would ruin anyone that comes near me. With the exception of some creepy stares or creep dudes following me around on the machines when he isn't looking, my gym experience is fairly normal, which…
  • BAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!!!
  • Two things, first ^^ no. Well, half no. You can have your cake and eat it too. Just not the whole cake. Everything in moderation. Of course, if you are having chicken wings and alcohol, cheeses and pizza clearly, you are putting yourself well beyond the calorie limit. You have to create a deficit. Pick and choose the foods…
  • MFP numbers have NEVER been accurate for me. The only way I know what is going on is with a reliable heart rate monitor. I have the Polar FT4. I was against the chest strap but I had a few friends with it and spoke highly of it. I will never exercise without it again.
  • ^^ this. I agree. What's going on that a Doctor says that you need to nibble all day? More info about why the Dr said that would be helpful to provide you suggestions.
  • I can't eat salads unless they include things with various and contrasting flavor profiles and textures. Like pairing kalmata olives (salty/bitter) and golden raisins. I love that duo!
  • SCALLOPS! I made them for dinner tonight. I never realized how healthy and SUPER they really are. Low cal, low fat and just plain good! Season them with a tiny bit of salt, some pepper and paprika, and sear them on a real hot skillet coated in EVCO (extra virgin coconut oil).…
  • Also maybe try to make sure that you are eating an accurate # of calories for your particular body. I happen to be a fan of the TDEE - 20% method, though I know everyone has their own thoughts and ways of doing things. All I'm saying it make sure that you are eating enough to sustain your body throughout the day plus…
  • I would steer clear from "diet supplements" and add just a plain old regular multivitamin, along with logging everything accurately, including calories burned with an accurate HRM. Also, don't go by MFP calories for foods, especially things that say "homemade". Take the time and do the research yourself instead of just…
  • You know that this is not correct right? Cucumbers tomatoes they DO have calories. The salad itself HAS CALORIES. I think that maybe you should revamp your whole system here... and your thought process while you're at it. If you think that POW's and people in the third world are losing fat and are ripped muscular…
  • Yes, I do like it. I actually was advised that I'm not eating enough. I kind of figured that after netting less than 1000 calories after exercising but I didn't realize that my initial calorie intake is too low too, so I really do HAVE to start eating back the exercise calories, at least some to net 1200 cals at least. I…
  • Thanks everybody for the great advice. I am taking this evening to set up a game plan for myself for the upcoming weeks, trying to incorporate what everyone has suggested and tweek it to fit my needs and (obvi) ability level. As for T-25. I tried it, and it tried to kill me. I can't get into that again... not yet at least.…
  • Thank you Donny that is pretty great advice. didn't think of it like that. I will certainly change up my routine tonight. What is the 5x5 strength training program? I tried T25 and literally almost died. I will definitely check these other things out though. I need to incorporate something different. Actually, I don't mind…
  • You can "ADD EXCERCISE" as an option. Do you have a HRM? Would be easier to get an accurate read if you did and than added it to your list. Like, there is a machine that I have no idea what its called. But I have a HRM so when I add it, I manually add it in as "other" and put the time and cal burn. Just a thought
  • ^^ Thank you. Actually I have been under-eating according to this with I usually don't eat all 1400 calories to begin with, and plus exercise, I don't eat back all the exercise calories. But I think possibly you might be right, retaining water. I've looked at the scale twice, once when I started, and once this morning. I…
  • Eat correctly as mentioned above Exercise and burn calories, Try to get a heart rate monitor if you can for accurate burn reads Get a scale and weigh yourself once a week or once every 2 weeks. and if you can get a measuring tape, start measuring yourself in areas (waist, hips, arms, thighs, etc) to monitor if you've lost…
  • I am 5'3" 176-8. I didn't weigh in at the start of this because I honestly hate the scale and get depressed continuously when I look at it. Been doing this seriously for a week now and I know (I think I know) there are changes. I can see my legs and arms and my face look slimmer. But again, the scale and I are bitter…
  • Clearly. I'm talking, not the actual coconut. I need a reasonable substitute that is not GOYA *vomit*. I can't drive around with my job all day trying to navigate opening a coconut.
  • Definitely this. NO coffee
  • Maybe adding an exercise ball into your routine. I have a lower back injury from a car accident, residual pain but nothing major like a herniated or bulging disk. I found that I used to be able to do floor exercises (sit ups, crunches, etc.) without issue, but NOW after the injury, I can't do it, unless I use an exercise…
  • I must be the only one who didn't have success with T-25. Its super intense, we did it, tracked everything, I did not lose not one lb. My boyfriend, who was doing it with me at the time, shed lbs like he was snow melting on a 90 degree day. If anything, I gained lbs. Everyone said it was water weight, but I kept at it and…

  • Hi all. I am on the 4th week of T25. Am I the only one who has not lost ANY weight at all??!??!?! I am following the diet recommended, which is low-carb and 1600 calories-- recommended by my coach. I've "lost" maybe 3 lbs. I do the exercises to the letter, sometimes using the modifier or taking a second to catch my breath,…
  • My boyfriend and I just started T25. Anyone else feel like their heart is going to explode while doing it? Or does anyone else have to take breaks? We just started like I said, but we can hardly get through the disks (even with modifiers) without having to take a couple of seconds to stop and catch our breath or take a sip…
  • Well, according to my ex who was 33 and cheating on me with one of his 17 year old students and some random 19 year old he met in a supermarket, he would say, "GO FOR IT!" I, on the other hand, would say don't.
  • I'm replying to this because I'm in the same freaking boat. WTF??! I second this post-- if anyone has ideas, please share!!
  • I have upped my calories from the MFP allotted 1200 to 1400 after figuring out the BMR and TDEE - 15%. In the simplest way I've understood these numbers: BRM is the number of calories your body needs just to function if you were to do nothing but lay in bed. TDEE is the number of calories your body needs in order to…
  • Thanks for that input! And for the record, I'm definitely NOT saying I'm substituting soda and candy for fruits and veggies. This was a hypothetical question. I found that the moments I was going over my TDEE - 15% was because I ate either bigger portions during the day and then had a fruit with high cal content, or…
  • I have hated avocado until just recently. The past 4 months I can't get enough and since I've been avocado-obsessed I found this website that has a lot of really amazing recipes! www.theamazingavocado.com Almost everything I've seen sounds so good. If anyone tries one please PM me and let me know how it is. I hope to try a…
