I don't tell people, I let them tell me. It encourages me and feels good when someone looks at me and tells me that I've lost weight (especially people I haven't seen in a while).

I have a couple of Danskin sports bras that work really good. I got them at the BX on-base, but you can probably find them at Sports Academy or a similar store. I also have a VS sports bra that I got on sale. It works good as well. I have tried Walmart sports bras, but they don't give me enough support (I'm a C cup). Hope…

Hi, Welcome to MFP! You have to manually add each glass of H2O to the graph. I don't count my tea as a glass of H2O, though. I only count plain H2O or H2O with crystal light. Hope this helps.

I joined the Air Force in August 2010 and have since started exercising on a regular basis (because it's mandatory). Food-wise, I'm not there yet. I am working on having a healthier lifestyle (including healthy eating). Before the military, I started working out a few times, but kept quitting. Now, I don't have a choice…

Hi, I am new to the USAF (Aug '10) and stationed in Japan. I take my PFA on 15 Mar 11. A couple of my coworkers have started running with me to pace me. I feel just like you--I'm slowing them down. They don't mind, though. We are running 3x/week now with at least 1x on the track. My suggestion is to find someone to pace…

Awesome job!!! Especially for a new runner!

This is just what I need. I find counting calories very difficult because if I eat something "bad" (like the Cheetos I love), then I just end up skipping a meal to make up for it or exercising a little more to increase my calories. I know I need to start eating healthier overall to enjoy a healthier life. Btw, I don't like…

Thanks all for the help. I am finding that I am eating less @ work on the night shift (b/c I'm not as hungry). I worked the other night and just had crackers and a couple pieces of cheese and that got me through the shift. I know that it's not healthy to eat like that all the time and I'm working on it. Thanks again for…

Thanks for the help. Shift work definitely makes eating a challenge!

Definitely Chick-fil-a: #1 w/ cheese combo (yummy lemonade for the drink)! Since I'm in Japan now, I don't have to worry about that b/c there is no chick-fil-a here. :-( My new pleasures in Japan: cheetos (I turn into a monster if you try to take them away--just ask my husband), ranch cornnuts, and skittles. Oh, and did I…

I am new to Zumba. I heard about it from an infomercial and it looked fun. I am by no means a dancer, but I like to try (in the privacy of my own home). I have Hip Hop Abs and enjoy doing that. I tried Zumba for the first time earlier this month and lasted for 2 days. It is a good workout, but I find myself trying to do…

When I did it, I also did every other day. I had to quit though because I started having bad shin splints. Now that I have proper footwear, I am ready to start again! Keep up the good work!

Stop comparing yourself to other people. Our body's are unique and handle food and exercise differently. I am a nurse and decided to wear my pedometer to work the other day to see how much I walked and how many calories I burned. I burned 490 calories just doing my job (13 hour shift)!! Then, after work I ran ~2 miles. I…

You have to do what makes you feel good. If that's losing weight and getting healthier, then go for it. He might stay or he might go, but either way you can hold your head up high and say you love yourself. You can't let him define who you are or what you do because if you do, in the end you will only be left with regrets.…

All of these post are good. For me, feeling sexy goes hand-in-hand with being comfortable in one's own skin no matter what you look like or what size you are. I am not fully comfortable in my own skin so I am working on getting my sexy back. My husband, on the other hand, has a bit of a belly, but he carries himself very…

I'm checking in today. I will be @ work for 12 hours today (AM shift). Afterwards, I plan on either going to the gym for an elliptical/stationary bike workout or doing Hip Hop Abs @ home. I will weigh-in today and post later.

Welcome. It's a great site. Everyone is very encouraging.

Count me in. I need accountability.

Hi. I am also new. I just joined today and WOW!!! After entering yesterday and today's food into the diary, I am scared to eat because I have been taking in a lot of calories. I really like to eat (and I just moved to Japan and the food here is pretty good) so I guess I am going to have to search for healthier alternatives…
