See a psychologist. No kidding; a psychologist who specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy can help you learn to control cravings. If your employer offers an EAP (employee assistance program) you can probably even get at least a few visits free.

Drink espresso. It's interesting to get used to but it really does have better taste. Much more so, try cold brewed coffee. It takes more grounds to make but it's this amazing flavor; not bitter at all. Of course, a shot of Jameson makes it better.

Sometimes people are afraid to say anything because they're afraid of retaliation. I do have a few friends who would not respond well - they would think I was calling them fat because I said anything. They probably ARE noticing but aren't saying anything. Talk with them honestly about it.
