Yeah, I try hard to keep my abs tight, and sometimes I even succeed. It gets really discouraging though when you are trying your hardest to get some kind of burn feeling and you're not getting it. I just can't figure out what i'm doing wrong.

82 pounds is a heck of a lot of weight. That is amazing progress!
-
bumping this up in hopes that someone has an answer.

I am only a few days in and I started with 5 lb weights. I had to go to the store and buy 3 lb weights. I see others had the same problem, so now I don't feel like such a punk. lol

Why haven't you ever been to a mexican restaurant? Don't you have one where you live?

I got a couple of bratty-*kitten* kids.

I think I would starve to death.

Some of them would have if he had an extra $120 a month to spend on that stuff.

Bumping this for later.

What is PB2? I have a few protein bars, but the best ones I can find only have 14g protein in them. I'll check out the ones from Costco. Even with that, i'm still falling short of my 103g per day goal. I love dairy and meat, I just can't quite make it.

This stuff is flavored. It's frosted chocolate, or something like that. The taste itself isn't horrible, I think it's the thickness and texture. I might try water next time. Or just half a serving.

That's what i'm saying! :)
-
I might give this a try tomorrow. Sounds good.

I'm doing Zumba on the Wii right now, and according to my heart rate monitor, i'm losing about 500 calories per hour doing it. I also have Hip Hop Abs DVDs that I use. I get about the same calorie burn per hour with both, so I use both to switch it up. When I get bored with those, i'll move on to something else. :)

We're probably close. I'm in Indian Land...off of 521.

I'm in Fort Mill, SC, which is just south of Charlotte. My subdivision is so close to the NC line I can walk there in about 10 minutes.

Your diary is not open.

That's exactly what I was going to say. I even had a 1200 calorie brownie, ice cream, caramel, nut thingie last week. (Of course, *that* happens about once a year).

Hi there, I don't think you should be really cutting out any one food group unless you plan on not eating that food group for the rest of your life. Once you figure out your daily calorie needs, you can fit whatever you want to eat into your daily menus just as long as you stay under your calories. Here is a good thread to…

I grew up in Detroit, then to Livonia. Moved to the Carolinas two years ago.

I guess cheese would be another on my list. I used to eat tons, now I just try and limit my intake to "less than the whole block"!

One banana has 90 calories, and orange about 70, apples, about 90. Fruits are not 'free' foods.

I do because turns out those things have calories. Who knew!?

SAHM to two girls, 8 and 3. I'm fortunate in many ways that I like to workout after the kiddos go to bed. On the off day where I do workout during the day, the 3 year old can almost manage to entertain herself for 30 minutes. I try not to take advantage of that too often though, because it's just a matter of time before…

Yeah, no kidding. If, and I mean *IF* I ever manage to not eat all my calories for the day, you can bet you'll find me sitting on the couch with a spoon a peanut butter jar.
-
I'm new at all this, so I hope if i'm wrong someone with more knowledge will correct me... An 1880 TDEE seems a bit low, no? Also, if you're only eating 1300 a day after you exercise, you may not be eating enough.
-
That's how I used to eat. That's probably why I need to lose weight.
-
How much do limbs weigh?
-
My kid went door to door, and she's not the only one in her troop who did. As a matter of fact, they encourage door to door selling in their cookie selling materials.

And another question, how am I supposed eat a half a jar of yummy, yummy peanut butter with just 1650 calories a day?!
