Me too! :) I'm 43, and have about 50# to lose. Feel free to add me as well- would love more accountability here.

Kudos! And thanks for sharing.

Hi Rachel- I'm Julie (5'9" CW 225, GW 165) and am just recently back on the bandwagon... unfortunately I also have done the gain/loss cycle too many times to count in my life. Anyhow, at this point I have finally figured out what my body needs to lose weight, so I'm back on plan as of a few days ago. I should be at my goal…

Congrats! Amazing awesomeness! I wanted to invite you to join a new ministry for wives who are caregivers for their spouses that is just getting started. You could connect with us at www.caringwives.com and find links to our Fb page and private community there too. Again, great job on the weight loss. I'd love to hear more…

15 and I'll take it. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm very ready to get back to our regular programming. :D I was surprised to see that no one got additional time in our box... well, at least no one who did 13.5 this morning.

3 for me! My toes to bar miracle didn't happen. My coach did make me keep going after the allotted number in attempts, so I found out my 10 rep clean and jerk max is 95. ;) My goal this year was to have fun and put a number up each week.... crossing my fingers 13.5 starts with something doable.
-
I watched too.... and cried a little. Not sure I get to put a number up at all this week. :( I can clean 95#, but not sure I can jerk that weight. And toes to bar...... hahahahahaha!

13.3= 111 reps... again, perfectly happy with this because I'm recovering from a chest cold and didn't want to end up with pneumonia because I was stupid. I slowed it down to a crawl the last 4 min. Excited, because I'm sure I could have gotten my 152+ if I had felt well! Whoohooo! I'm excited for next year! This year I…

Crossfit Loveland (Loveland, CO.... home of the we-save-the-blizzards-for-openWOD-scoring-days... hoping I can get there tomorrow!)

Gave the scale to my 16 yo to hide. My dh is a softie and will get it out of hiding for me if I ask. The teenage son will just laugh at me. My current self-agreement is that I can get back on it to check when I can do a pullup. (That'll give me a loooooong time away... Ha!) I am just telling people who comment on my…

Great job! I wish we had a local and inexpensive BodPod so that I could just check quarterly and see what my body composition is doing. I know I regain muscle fairly quickly, which makes the first 6-8 weeks back horrid on the scale. It does NOTHING. (That's not true.... it sits there and ticks me off!)

This is brilliant! I may shoot for every week, but the changes should be apparent regardless. Thanks!

This is SO me! Had a friend at the box ask how much I'd lost.... and I had to sheepishly say 2-3#. And I think it's funny that you use the word divorce! Giving up the scale does feel like a really bad breakup. ;)
-
Totally jazzed with my 151.... Previous press max of 65#, thought I might get 2-3 rounds because of the shoulder to overhead. Learning so much about myself and the people in my box through this process. Congrats to everyone on their score and/or attempt. Fuel for next year! :)

Yay for step ups! ;) Made my day to see that. One of the strong guys at my box timed his jumps vs. step ups this morning, and only lost 4 seconds for stepping. Of course, that's 40 seconds over the course of the WOD for him, but I'm thinking it'll be a faster way for me. I could do the 75# press, but it was hard. That will…

Sounds like you are doing all you can do. They are lucky to have you and your great attitude. I posted my freaking slow scaled Annie time on the board today because of your comment about not wanting to put stuff up there. I often don't just because I can't focus on others and how far I have to go, but you did make me think…

I'm a rower- sweep or sculling, port or starboard. Love it all. However, the weather here doesn't support year round rowing, and I have finally learned that my primary sport needs to be something I can consistently do. So, I'm focusing my time, energy and money at a local Crossfit box (yay! c2 ergs!) and hopping in a boat…

Sad day. :( I've been at 4 different boxes, and really appreciate the freedom a few of them give individuals to "run their own race". Maybe you can be part of adding that to your new box by being friendly and yet doing your own thing without self-consciousness? Some of my favorite people at the box are the strong folks who…
