Week 7, day 1 complete! Still feel like I'm slogging through it, but speed will come with time, right..?

Week 6, day 3 complete! This whole week was a struggle both with the actual workouts and trying to fit them in, so so proud to be done. Week 7, here I come!

Try the RockMyRun app! I love it! They have a few great free playlists or you can buy more, but all upbeat songs and no breaks in between. Plus, you can sort through the lists by bpm to help achieve your desired pace.

Week 6, day 1. Somehow, I think it was tougher than the 21 minute run!! Anybody else have that experience? I think maybe the shorter times (ha! 5 mins is short! Who saw that coming??) made me pay more attention to how much time I still had to go. Plus, still a little sore from the 21 minute run.

Week 5, day 3 complete!!! Who cares if the scale only showed 0.8 lbs lost this week - I just ran 21 straight minutes!!

Finished week 5, day 1! Every new week I feel sure I won't be able to get through it but somehow I do! Trying to start gearing myself up for w5d3 - only one more run until I am there!

If you still feel good during your runs, don't worry about the speed. But if you can't carry a conversation at the 12:00min/mi pace, slow down! It doesn't have to be much faster than your walk or faster at all as long as you're picking your feet up to run. You'll be glad you paced yourself when you get into longer run…

Just finished week 4, day 3! Longest distance yet. Felt like I was going to have to stop during a run interval but didn't do it! Still not feeling ready for week 5.... Go on anyway?

I'm the same - slow. I made it to 1.93 miles w2d3 but got a little less distance w3d1. For now I'm just worried about finishing. I'll pick up speed later!

Did week 3 day 1 today! I was really nervous about the 3 minute runs because the 1.5 minute runs weren't easy yet, but I actually adjusted pretty quickly! I think with the 3 minute runs I don't spend as much time counting down and thinking about it. Glad I went on to week 3!

Finished w2d2. Today was probably the hardest yet! Once I convinced myself to go, I felt like I was just slogging through the whole thing. W2d1 felt like I had good form and was strong to keep going, but today - not so much. Oh well, I did it as written so I guess I can't complain too much! Onward!

Thanks, that is a great rule! After finishing week 2 day 1 today, I'm so tempted to go back to week 1 and get better first, but I did finish it as written! So onward we go!

Hi all, Today is my day 1 trying to get back into healthy habits and weight loss. Started with a fitness assessment that included a 5k, 800m run/walk, plus some strength activities. My pitfall has always been falling off the wagon so definitely looking for some accountability here!
