  • You need to be realistic with yourself. If you can't get yourself back on track after one "cheat day" then don't have a "cheat day". I have a Sunday "cheat day" every week and lose on average of 2-3 pounds each week. It keeps me happy as I know I can have whatever I want that day. I count every bit of what goes in my mouth…
  • Hate to say it, but save the calories and get a Fleets enema. At some point, you are going to get sick to your stomach and it will hurt...bad. Just do it and get it over with.
  • For me personally, I have my sanity breaks every Sunday, but I do track everything. I look at it as keeping my sanity, but being honest with myself. If I don't track then I feel like I am hiding something and being sneaky (if I can't read it, it didn't happen). I track it and feel no guilt about it and move on.
  • I've read on here that people see a huge difference if they take pictures of their progress and compare those instead of what they see in the mirror. I haven't taken any pictures of myself, but I think I am going to try it. I have lost around 20 pounds as of this morning and I don't see much of a difference in the mirror…
  • Typically, people start to comment on the change after I lose about 30. This time, I have been working out more than I ever have (low impact aerobics) and people have started commenting (especially my husband as he sees me with the least amount of clothing) after I lost about 15 pounds. I think any amount of exercise helps…
  • I eat until I feel full but staying below my daily calorie limit six days a week. I feel full at around 800-1000 calories most days, but I think a lot of it is because of my schedule (I don't think about eating so I don't feel hungry). On Sundays, my schedule slows way down, I have time to cook, and so that is when I…
  • I have a "cheat day" every Sunday. I don't like to call it a "cheat day" though because it sounds like I am doing something wrong, I call it "my sanity" (I mean, come on, even God rested on Sunday). I have a very hectic schedule and then add to that keeping track of everything I eat every single day and remain "good" every…
  • AAAGGGHHH!!! Shame on you....your kids are too old?! NEVER! Until my mom passed away a couple of years ago, I whined until she made me an Easter basket....lol. Now I make my husband do it but the Easter bunny usually leaves me jewelry, my all time favorite Reeses PB eggs (5 of them-He just loves me) and this year I am…
  • I will be enjoying a home cooked Easter feast with my family (except for mom...RIP)....ham and all the trimmings. I will also indulge in my all time favorite candy...Reese's PB eggs. ( I only have them for a short period each year- and NO, THEY DO NOT TASTE LIKE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS...THEY ARE WAY BETTER) I allow myself one…
  • This is an interesting yet controversial topic for many attempting to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle. I had trouble with this question for a very long time...bothered me so much that I started to research and ask questions of nutritionists and doctors (I'm a nurse and work with many different health professions).…
  • ' I noticed you do the mud run obstacle course events. My son and I are doing a Warrior Run this summer. It will be my first one. Any advice? At this point, I just want to finish. I thought it would be fun to do with my son. It has been one of my goals is to be able to keep up with my kids. He will be sixteen and is an…
  • I have slowly advanced myself..I am one of those people that if it hurts too much, I am not going to do it...lol (creature of comfort). I started with Leslie Sansone as I haven't actually worked out in forever. Now I am working on Biggest Loser Cardio Max (Week One) and have 30-Day Shred waiting in the wings for when I…
  • My husband started crying about a month ago...lol. I always lose the girls when the weight starts coming off. I am thrilled, my husband not so much. Personally, I think it gives me an excuse to shop at Victoria Secret more often (need to boost up what little I have left.)
  • I used the depo shot for five years about 12-13 years ago. I gained some weight, but my biggest problem was when I tried to have another child. I ended up with emergency surgery. Check with your doctor if you decide to have a child...I got pregnant too quickly off the shot and ended up with an ectopic pregnancy which ended…
  • I want to be the MILF. Who doesn't like to turn heads? Good for you all for being honest about it!
  • I have a few go-to crock pot chicken recipes: Santa-Fe Chicken: Small Jar of Salsa (Your choice of flavor) 1 Can Black Beans (Drained) 1 Can Corn (Drained) Mix together, then place three chicken breasts on top of mixture Cook 8-10 hours on low Shred chicken and serve over rice or in tortillas. Rotisserie Chicken: 1 whole…
  • I prefer the two piece. I think you have a nice figure and should show it off. I can't wait for the day to be able to wear a two piece comfortably and I think it is great when women are able to (whether it be because of a good figure or a total comfort with their body). I like both, but if you are going to the beach, opt…
  • Did you like the C25K program? I have reading the website and I really want to get back in to running and it sounds like a good program. There are so many people that talk about the program, but just wanted the opinion of someone who has used it to get back in to running? Glad to hear the pain is leaving, it makes…
  • I can't wait until the snow stops around here so I can start C25K. I have wanted to start the program for a few months now, but I want to get outside because I get bored very easily on the treadmill. Can't wait. It is very motivating to read all of the posts. I finally starting to think that I might be able to do this.
  • I think you have to eat to sustain the lifestyle that you want. For me personally, if I went the 'clean' eating way, I would never sustain it because I just don't want to. I like the processed food stuff that I eat. I do eat 'clean' foods when I want them, but I love my pizza, icecream, etc. I work ridiculous hours, have…
  • I made the switch from regular Coke to diet Pepsi. I don't really care for the taste of Diet Coke for some reason. I have no desire to drop the soda habit all together. I have drank it for years but know the calories in regular soda would kill my calorie goals so I did switch. I have tried dropping soda a few times, but…
  • I always want to eat my arm because I am so hungry 7-10 days before my period. And when the feeling hits, I refuse to weigh myself until about day 3-4 of my period. I used to weigh myself and I will actually put on between 5-7 pounds that would magically be gone by day 3-4. It would depress me during a time when I am…
  • I've lost the sperm whale's brain, but I'm shooting for the Irish Setter :)
  • That is what I keep telling myself as I am quickly approaching 40...lol
  • I don't count the stuff I do at work and cleaning the house as exercise as I got fat doing those things before, so it didn't help my weight loss efforts. I count only the time set aside to do something I don't do in my daily activities as exercise (running, lifting weights, etc).
  • Just click on someone's name and send a friend request. It really is that simple. The people on here are really good to 'chat' with and they have so much good advice. I am pretty new here myself and just reading various posts have been very helpful. Feel free to add me to your friend list if you like.
  • I see a big difference between the first and third pictures, but not a whole lot between the second and third pictures. Maybe the background distorts a little to me? You look fantastic though! I can only hope to look 1/2 this good.
  • I don't actually count the stuff I do at work or home on a routine basis as exercise. I am on my feet the majority of the day at work and I clean at home, but the way I look at it..."I got fat doing all those things, so must not be burning too many calories." When my kids were little and even now, I get up an hour earlier…
  • I'm in! I have way more to lose than that, but it will be nice to have another goal to work toward.
  • I don't typically see a difference in myself or so others can notice until almost 25 pounds gone. Not sure why but if you have very little to lose, maybe you won't notice such a big change?
