carrot sticks and Sabra hummus w/pine nuts is my latest obsession.

I actually STOPPED taking it after years of use. My radiology doc (I was diagnosed w/breast cancer last summer) said there's no firm evidence that it actually works. Since its so expensive she suggested stop taking it and doing the same workouts and see if there's a difference. My knees are actually feeling better so I…

Mexican food. I have a favorite restaurant that has some of the BEST smothered stuffed sopapillas and indian tacos with a ton of cheese and yummy goodness. <sigh> I haven't touched it since I started MFP. I did a 14er hike this weekend and thought about getting something since I knew I'd burn a TON of calories. But I…

I try to stay under 300. Oatmeal with raisins/cinnamon and stevia packet, Amy's burritos (300 or less cals) or Special K turkey sausage b'fast sandwich are my go-to items that keep me full until lunch where I can work out (so I can power up with some more calories for dinner!)

I did this in May. It's surprisingly "doable". However, I didn't do the sit ups. Really bad for the back (and I have a herniated disc. ouch!) I substituted this with bicycle kicks. each alternating leg is one rep (left, right, one, left, right, two, etc.) I also broke them up into groups of 25 reps when I got later into…

Ha! This has been my dream to have a strain that curbs my appetite. that said, I have my license and I've really curbed my munchie habit. I'll tell you where medicating is AWESOME is when working out. I think yoga and weed go together like carrot sticks and hummus. Also I have back pain from a herniated disc (just saw the…

LOVE it! Totally addicted to it. My favorite is w./carrot sticks and sugar snap peas. But like everything, in moderation! i have to be very careful not to eat too much in one sitting. I've tried other hummus brands but Sabra is the best IMHO. My favorite is w/pine nuts.

I LOVE yoga but I would supplement it with some cardio. Like others have said it's more for stretching and strength (think slow burn) as opposed to increased heart rate (faster burn). Yoga is a great compliment to other activities and will help reduce chances of sports injuries. Good luck! sounds like you're already…

I feel your pain! After the first 8 lbs fell off in about 4 weeks the scale was stuck for about the next 5 weeks. As discouraging as that was (I'm a numbers person) I could tell I was getting leaner. What was once flabby was getting firm(er). I had to take my pants to the tailor to take in the waist. I weighed in on…

Hi there. Don't give up. 40 lb. weight loss is HUGE. Do you REALLY want to go back to that (and probably more)? It's always hard to not be disappointed after the initial quick loss in the first few weeks/months. Take measurements of your waist, hips arms and thighs. also pay attention to how clothes are fitting (or not…

P.S. It's not a *diet* and we shouldn't think of it as such. It's a new way of eating. And frankly, you will be amazed at how much you've been eating in excess and how much easier it is to cut back than you think. Want to eat a little more? Earn it in calorie burn! It's a numbers game. I find thinking in those terms is…

I feel ya! My husband isn't exactly the most helpful either. He made chicken wings last night. I told him there's no way I'm going to eat any (I had one). But i keep telling myself its really not worth it. I think of my calorie intake/output like a balance sheet. The more I see my activity going up I know I can eat a *few*…
