I personally don't have deadlines. Do I want to lose that last 7 pounds? Sure, but it'll happen when it happens. For me. Its more important to live a healthy, active lifestyle and I would never want to put a "deadline" on that.

 :drinker: Whenever I can fit it in. I'm a shift worker, so sometimes my mornings are your evenings and my evenings are your mornings. Sometimes, when I'm feeling really crazy, I work out in the afternoon!

Are you following the recommended calories that MFP assigned to you? If you are, then yes, you can eat back your exercise calories.
-
I exercise 4-6 times a week. I'm a shift worker so sometimes my routine gets messed up depending on what I'm working. The gym I go to has shorter hours on Saturday and Sunday and sometimes I find it hard to get there before it closes. I also listen to my body... if I need a rest day, it'll tell me!

I think your first sentence says a lot! It will go much better in the long run if you look at your weight loss as a life style change instead of a diet. Diet are just bandaids and usually hard to maintain. Just try to be patient, the weight will come off! I found small changes made a HUGE difference for me!

I appreciate that this was alphabetical.

Sounds like you've made up your mind! That's the hardest part, so you'll do great! Good luck!
-
Great work! I know we all want that number to go down on the scale, but your pictures don't lie!!
-
I've read that you should aim to eat 1 gram protein for every pound you weigh.
-
You said it yourself. If there was a pill that worked - don't you think we'd all be on it and the nation's obesity rates would be drastically lowered? [/quote] Pretty much!
-
Just a thought.... If weight loss pills truly work, why are there so many of us on MFP?? :noway:
-
With TDEE you don't eat back your exercise calories. Exercise/activity is already calculated in the determine your TDEE. Hope this helps
-
That's true... I could definitely be taking those looks the wrong way! I tend to take things too personally.
-
Honestly, in my opinion (and I know not everyone will agree) eat less processed foods. Oh, and get a job.
-
Thanks everyone! The only unfortunate part is that I go to an all women's gym and honestly, there are very few of us that use the squat rack... I noticed a few looks today. :ohwell:
-
TDEE - 15%! Works so much better than trying to eat only 1200 cals, saying "eff it" and binging on 6 cookies!
-
I eat all the way up to when I go to bed. If I weigh myself the next morning and I am up a pound, I know it won't stay. Personally, I don't think it matters when you eat! Eat when you're hungry!
-
Spaghetti Squash! I have tried it a few times, hoping I'd come around... I just can't do it!
-
No, it doesn't. That's my point. Eat it the way you like.
-
^ This makes sense. It shouldn't matter how you cook your meat. Eat it the way you like... Very simple
-
Sooo, if protein is destroyed when meat is cooked, should we eat our chicken rare too?? This seems silly.
-
You're my favorite.

I haven't been, but I know that I should. I will check out Stronglifts tonight!
-
Thanks! I usually do 10-12 reps, so I will start to increase my weights.
-
About 15lbs but people are still commenting even though I haven't lost any for a long time. I owe it to running and lifting! I may not be losing weight, but I'm losing inches.

Counting points is the same thing as counting calories. When I was on WW I found I didn't always choose the most nutritious foods because I wanted to feel like I was eating more. Since I have quit WW and joined MFP, I am finding I wasn't eating enough on WW. I was always hungry! This caused major problems because I would…

Awesome job! I remember my first 5K... it felt amazing!! Don't stop, you will begin to really love running :)

Thanks! I'll take a look at TDEE and BMR and see what that is all about :)
