As I understand it, the difference in metabolism (BMR) between males and females is largely due to the difference in lean muscle mass. As you gain muscle due to the T, gradually adjust your calorie levels upwards.

Hi everyone! I'm Lillian, 29, MtF, and have been full-time for about 6 months now. I've lost about 50 lbs since beginning transition, but I'm finding those last 20 or so to be much more difficult. I wish you all the best in your journeys!
