Well, I don't know about never eating potatoes again!! I think you can have stuff in moderation. Try making "dirty mashed potatoes" by leaving the skins on, and put in skim milk and less butter. I am sometimes off a little bit, not sure that a hundred or two calories will hurt one. But I would think that 6 or 7 hundred will make a difference. Here's a message board that lists other postings that are very helpful, including eating your exercise calories. I find that the extra calories lets me think I am not deprived. I don't always eat all of them, but try to eat a good part of them. You can plan ahead eat some of the calories, but then you better exercise.…

I have determined that I was not eating enough throughout the day. My boyfriend even commented - "you don't eat that much!". It can be tough to eat the calories, but plan out your meals.
