  • I like cardio, I love running, running keeps and has kept me sane in the past. To be honest, I couldn't give a rat's butt who like what, all I know is I like cardio and it keeps me in shape, Cardio is what you make it, if you don't like it, don't do it.
  • and they will continue to do this until you make it impossible for them to do that any longer. In future, when somebody says they need a plumber either: 1 tell them you are busy or 2 take a deep breath and tell them that it is impossible for the job to be done without payment for the parts AND labour. If they refuse to…
  • Two weeks of inactivity could mean the person has gone on holiday and is unable to log onto MFP. I usually give it a month,

  • I ran at Hackney Marshes yesterday, the course was different to when I first ran it three years ago. I absolutely loved the course though, it is really flat with a section over trail around the 2k mark. Very pretty route, definitely intend to run this one for a third time, me thinks!
  • Running may be what keeps the OP feeling sane, to say she should just quit running could be asking for more problems than she started with. OP see your doctor. The irregular HB could bee due to low Potassium and your electrolytes being out of balance, it is important tio get a blood test done so you can see exactly what is…
  • Personally, I have found that if I lose 10 lbs, I go to the next dress size. However, in the UK, the sizes go down in 2s, so if I lose approximately 10lbs, I would go from a 10 to an 8 (likewise if I put on 10lbs, I would go up to a 12).
  • 5 foot 6" tall, weighing 100lbs - underweight by at least 15lbs. Forget about not eating or feeling guilty when you do eat, you have a problem with eating, you really need to see a doctor.
  • No, I don't count any of it.
  • Fantastic transformation, well done OP!!!!
  • Tell them you aren't actually working out to get thin, you work out to keep fit, therefore if you were to suddenly stop as per their "advice" you would end up unfit and that would contradict your own aims. Basically, you are telling them to mind their own bloody business, but in a way that should shut them up lol. They…
  • Mine is set to private, deliberately. This is because, a person that used to be on my friend's list PMed me one day and said, that for the amount of exercise I do, I am not eating enough. She then promptly unfriended me. Her views, her opinion, both of which were wrong as she should have minded her own business, I never…
  • No I am not a troll, but I have a better sense of humour than you LOL Actually, I do not really go for pizza and I seriously detest Ketchup, but I love choccie. Some people really did take me seriously on this thread, how bizarre :noway:
  • I wanted to see how many replied to this thread, it amuses me. I have not been disappointed :)
  • Too right! I am not keen on ice-cream either :flowerforyou:
  • I never discard them, I eat them.
  • I just drink tap water
  • You look after yourself, that's what you do and if she continues, then you may have to cut down drastically on the amount of times you see her, she is just going to end up depressing you and belittling you to the extent you will have zero self-esteem left in the end. That is not something a true friend would ever do. btw…
  • Looks like you deleted your own account into the bargain LOL
  • A little message or note with the friend request is nice, although I have accepted when there has been none. If I see the person seems to be just collecting friends like stamps, I don't accept. I keep my friend list very small, otherwise my wall ends up getting comment-logged (if there is such a term lol).
  • I support, if others cannot be bothered to do the same, why should I continually see their bloody updates on my newsfeed. Sorry, support or be cut. Don't like it - don't worry I will not lose sleep over your grief.
  • I do cardio, no weights. It depends on what you end-goal is really.
  • I was going to say Scum, but thought that didn't sound very ladylike, so am going with Midnight Express instead.
  • You may see yourself as flabby, but are you really. BMI of 19, termed as underweight by your doctor, do not eat much.......... What you see in the mirror is not necessarily what is really going on. This thread makes me very uneasy.
  • I want to know why tap water would not have been ok in situations like this - if Health and Safety are saying tap water is no good, why? Is it not safe then?? Tap water is fine in the UK - this whole affair is ridiculous and shameful. Runners will have trained for months for then and apart from the entry fees, many will…
  • No idea about whether running causes a shorter life or not, the fact is I love running, therefore I will run. The end.
  • Do they? Every runner I know breathes through their mouth. Breathing through my nose, speaking from my own personal experience would not get me enough oxygen, quick enough. I do however, breathe in through nose and out through mouth during day-to-day living, but when running - it just doesn't work and I would end up…
  • Two for me.
  • Work on your stamina, then you will be able to run faster for longer, which of course means a faster 5k time. I would say longer runs before speed.
  • You are actually doing interval training there and interval training is absolutely excellent. There is sound evidence that suggests that you let your heartrate go back down to 120bpm before attempting the next interval, you are almost doing this anyway. Apparently letting it drop to 120bpm before doing the next run, is…
  • ...but you completed the 15 minutes, next time it will not be as bad and as you get fitter, it will get easier, it is at that point you up the time you are exercising.
