  • I bought the book "The CarbLovers Diet" by the editors of Health Magazine. It's built around Resistant Starch foods. It seems to work. I've lost 10 pounds and my husband has lost 15. A big plus? I'm almost never hungry. Here's the website for anyone who's interested:: http://www.health.com/health/package/0,,20367333,00.html
  • My husband and I lost weight on Atkins, but it wasn't sustainable for us. I bought the book The CarbLovers Diet (by the editors of Health Magazine) and we've been playing with it for a few weeks. We haven't even gone with it completely at this point, but it seems to be working. In about a month of dabbling with the diet,…
  • I get the same thing every single time. Oven-roasted chicken breast on wheat with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise and salt. I really branched out last time and had them add pickles.
  • Depending on your personal diet restrictions, you may have to tweak some ingredients or reject a complete recipe, but here are a few that I like. I always use chunk light tuna in the smaller cans (5 or 6 oz.). TUNA CRUNCH SALAD 1 can tuna, drained ¼ c. chopped sweet pickles 1 T. onion, minced 1 to 2 T. lemon juice ¼ c.…
  • That's awesome! I never could do push ups, either. No muscles in these arms of mine. Last night, after several weeks of www.hundredpushups.com, I managed 50 "kitchen sink" push ups without stopping (hands on the kitchen sink)! WooHoo! And after seeing this topic, I tried knee push ups and managed to do four! Wheeeee!
  • Mmmmmm! Salmon patties! My mother made really good ones, but I've always had trouble keeping them from falling apart, so I make salmon loaf instead. Tastes about the same, but it's easier for me to make. ROUND SALMON LOAF 1 egg 1 c. milk 1/4 c. melted butter 3 slices soft bread, cubed 1/2 tsp. salt 2 (1-lb.) cans salmon,…
  • Go to "MY HOME" and click on "Check-In" to enter your current weight. You look great! Impressive weight loss in such a short time!
  • I mentioned on another forum on another site that I really wanted to like oatmeal, but I just didn't like it and I hated the texture. Someone suggested that I try Bircher Muesli. You put the ingredients together at night, pop it in the refrigerator, and eat it cold the next morning. The texture is so much different and…
  • Hm. Maybe everybody's switched over to this one.
  • "Kitties!" ended, but another one started called "Kitties! - part 2" that is still going strong. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/941082-kitties

  • I got horrible foot/toe cramps when I tried Atkins. The book suggested potassium and magnesium. It seemed to work for me.
