I have several friends that have successfully dealt with this issue simply through diet. Do not avoid carbs. I would seek out a nutritionist. Generally speaking, a doctor is not really a great source for "diet" guidelines... they're simply not trained in the arena of nutrition. Is yours Hashimodo's disease?
