That's surprising - I wondered what I'd get with a German Shepherd and a boxer on my profile pic!

that is definitely friendly...

Northwestern PA near Oil City/Franklin area - close to Titusville, PA: Birthplace of the oil industry!

I live in Northwestern PA and these things drive me BONKERS!!! They are everywhere. (Did you notice how they turned green in the summer?) I bought one of those stink bug traps from home depot and the only thing it caught were those bugs with the pincher things on one end (I hate them, too). Don't really know what to tell…

Funny, you should mention that...my gym is my garage and yesterday I had to chase out a black snake that had made it's way in (and I happen to live above that garage). Shooed him out by wacking at him repeatedly with my workout calendar. He finally got the message after getting a couple of strikes in at the calendar. Dogs…

I've always heard that you tend to lose weight from the top down. You look so great and you have a waist now!! Just think - another 15 lbs and you'll be in the hundreds!!!!! Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy!!

Guilty!! The 77 lb. German shepherd sleeps with my fiancé and I. The boxer is 12 and can't get on the bed anymore, but she'd be there, too if she could! Sometimes the German shepherd lays on my fiancé's pillow with her head resting on top of his head...cracks me up every time!
-
I'm the same way!! I can lose 1.5 to 2 lbs. by working out for 2 hours.

Every morning after the pee. Then, I weigh myself after I've ran 10 - 12 miles. I'm kind of obsessive about it. If I ignore the scale, the weight creeps up and I get cranky! :grumble: Weighing every day keeps me accountable and on top of things. I log in my weight on Sundays and only record it if I've lost.

The German Shepherd (Jasmine) is not fat - but she's three and super active...the Boxer (Allie) is a tad bit overweight. My fiancé thinks that treats are a form of affection and I battle with him about it all the time. I think Jasmine keeps Allie a bit more active, but Allie really prefers to hold down the couch (unless…

My favorite off limits cereal is Captain Crunch - and I'm 50 years old. Unfortunately, I have the taste buds of a 5 year old.

Where do I start?? Pretty much anything with sugar in it - Cheesecake (or just cake is fine, too), brownies, cookies, anything that even vaguely tastes like chocolate... Oh, potatoes - pretty much any kind of potato...in fact, I've never met a potato that I didn't like!

Actually, popcorn isn't bad for you - as long as you don't pile on the butter and the salt. If you're determined to not eat that popcorn, set yourself a time limit to hold out. Tell yourself - I'll wait an hour (or two hours or 1/2 hour, whatever you decide) and see if I still want that popcorn. If I do, then I'll have…

My mom calls me Cin. My friends have called me Cindy Sue, Cindy Lou and Cindy Lou who!! My fiancé calls me Daisy (Started out as Daisy Duke, then Daisy Douche, then finally - and thankfully - just Daisy!!) He's a smart*ss. Friends in school called everyone "****" for awhile, for some reason and somehow I got the nickname…

I don't have any problems with people - but we have bears and that's why I've considered carrying my Ruger 357 on runs (We live on a dirt road). Currently, I stick to the treadmill, but I've definitely considered the Ruger - and let's not forget my German shepherd. She'd be tickled to go for a run, but she's got a vendetta…

Congratulations on wanting to change!! I've lifted weights and exercised consistently for 17 years. You just decide that this is going to be part of your life and you fit it in. I have found that I've actually become addicted to exercise. It's a habit and just something that I do. When I'm dieting, I have one rule that has…

First of all...let's just say that you're normal!! I think we all struggle with this. Personally, I would have gained sooooo much more than you if I worked in a bakery. All the things that I love! First piece of advice - keep on exercising. That's your biggest weapon. I give myself permission to eat whatever I want on…

Fee free to add me, too! I'm on everyday and I'm supportive as all get-out! I'm happily engaged with two canine friends (as you can see by my profile picture!) I'll be 50 next month and I've been dieting forever and exercising since I was 33 - so I've been all around and up and down the weight-loss block! Good luck!!!

When I followed the Body for Life Program, the book recommended exercising in the morning on an empty stomach. The reasoning was that you would be burning off your stubborn fat stores instead of what you just ate. I followed Body for Life to the "T" and it was very effective for me, but I think it depends on what works for…
