Put the chocolates somewhere where you don't have to look at them. Try the banana like someone else posted. You could even put a little peanut butter on it. You will feel very proud of yourself for not eating the chocolate.

You can add me. I have over 100 pounds to lose too.

Everyone has their own opinions and has to do what is right for them. You have to do what you think is right for you and you are going under the advice of a doctor. It is your journey. I wish you great success and know you can do it!

I've lost a lot of weight in the past and put it back on again due to emotional eating. I am now back at it and am going to lose this weight for good. I have 130 pounds to lose. You can do it too. As far as eating healthy, more fruits, veggies, and whole grains. I am going to send you a friend request.

I have 130 pounds to lose so I definitely know what you are going through. It can be done though! Check out some of the success stories in the forum. It helps with motivation. I also set smaller goals for myself and focus on reaching those. It doesn't feel so overwhelming that way.

I am. I just started in January. If you want to do it, I recommend the Happy Herbivore cookbooks. She also has a website and sells weekly meal plans (1200 calorie, but adjustable) as well if you don't know what to eat. I know I was a little overwhelmed when I started. I kept eating the same things because I didn't know…

Hi. It is great that you posted. Congratulations on your baby boy! It is good to have the fitbit and know how much activity you are getting. You could start smaller and do a lap around the house. Any activity helps. You could even do seated exercises with hand weights. I agree that if I were you, I would start out focusing…

You can add me. I have 130 pounds to lose. I just started this month. Everyone has their journey but it helps to have support. If 100 pounds seems overwhelming, it might help to break it up into several smaller goals (like 10 or 20 pound increments)

Fruits and veggies. Some 50 calorie snacks could be 1 cup watermelon, 1 small orange, 12 baby carrots, 1 cucumber, 1/2 banana, 1 bell pepper, 1 grapefruit, 16 cherry tomatoes, 8 strawberries, 2 cups green beans, 1/2 cup baby carrots with 1 tbsp hummus. Some 100 calorie snacks could be 1 banana, 2 cups cantaloupe, 1 small…

It takes a lot of strength to open up like that. You've already taken the first step by deciding you want to change things. You've had a lot of obstacles in your life but you can still do this despite the obstacles. I agree with the others that you need to determine what your calorie intake for the day should be and then…

Anyone can add me. I have about 130 pounds to lose. I'm trying to make an effort to be active on the boards here.

I just recently switched to vegan/plant based eating so I could lose weight. I found it kind of overwhelming to make the switch so I did a search for vegan meal plans. I found one from Happy Herbivore. It is a 1200 calorie weekly meal plan. I feel with this I get a wider variety of vegetables and whole grains and make sure…

I saw myself in pictures from a Christmas work party. I was shocked how big I looked in those photos. I was so embarrassed. It was a major wake up call. I am also greatly concerned about my health. I watched my mother struggle with diabetes and eventually lose her battle with cancer. It scares me that could be my future.…

I am breaking my goals up into mini goals (I am doing 20 lb increments) even though my end goal is always in my mind. Sometimes it seems like it will take forever to get to my ultimate goal, but it took time to get this big so it will take time to get smaller. I keep reminding myself why I want to do this and I also put…
