On special occasions, cointreau, sugar and heavy cream on top. I'd forgotten about that!

Either nothing so it's black or turned into a skinny vanilla latte! Goes from virtuous to quite naughty

I got this when I first started my diet in June. I leave work at 3pm and I always used to go home and have a snack of tea with buttered toast or biscuits or cake or perhaps all three! When I cut back to just the tea I had very similar symptoms, an overwhelming, panicky urge to eat, making me feel very weak and shaky. I…

I had an orange instead of the last slice of chocolate cake at work yesterday. (Then convinced someone else to eat it to remove the temptation!)

^^This! Exactly the same, because I couldn't get low enough due to pain I was doing half squats which put stress on the knees, this actually caused me more pain - so I thought I couldn't do them! Have a look at "Starting Strength" by Mark Rippetoe, I think you can preview the bit on squats on Amazon, if you do them…

I haven't reached my goal yet but I have a very sweet tooth, without treats I feel deprived, if I feel deprived I'll fall off the wagon! This has been the normal pattern of my weight loss efforts in the past, but I have now discovered cardio exercise!! Yay! I can run 5K in about 35 minutes and this gives me an extra 400…

Woo-hoo!

My weight this morning is 153lb So that's 8lb so far, 2 more to go by Christmas.

I think I would cut my weightloss goal to 1lb a week until the holidays are over, keep your daytime calories to about 500 and that leaves you over 1000 for the evening. I'm sure it's frustrating but I think you should be able to choose lighter options from menus - can you go to places that have their menus/calorie contents…

It was my birthday yesterday! I had a lovely Italian dinner with fizzy wine, panna cotta for dessert, limoncello liqueur and caffe latte.......it was fabulous! Just take a day at maintenance, it really won't hurt.

I buy my eggs from the local farmers' market for £5 for 30 eggs, they're free range, fresh and delicious!

OK, to update, my sister finally noticed that I've lost weight! Did she say "Wow, Lizzy, looking good!" No, she said in a very accusing tone "You've lost weight!" I agreed but didn't say how much (now over 30lb). "Well how did YOU do that then?" The emphasis definitely on "you". I said I was moving more and eating less.…

If I need a recipe I go to the BBC recipe finder, http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/ Always something useful!

Oh no, that's sad! I prefer raw carrots to cooked ones. Maybe if you don't eat them at all for a week and then try again?
-
The yolk's the yummy part! Eat it all, they're very nutritious.

Oh, the treadmill thing drives me mad too! Also people (and not necessarily girls  ) who stand looking in the mirrors primping and preening just getting in the way!
-
Me too! When I was a kid my Mum wouldn't let me shell peas because I'd eat too many  My go-to snack is half a tin of sardines in tomato sauce on a small slice of toasted wholemeal bread.

Handy!

In order of importance, headphones/ipod, water bottle, towel and my little book to write my efforts in. Seriously, my gym bag is bigger than my weekend bag!

I think it was the TV programme "The men that made us thin (or possibly fat?)" that had this revolting new idea of having a tube inserted into your stomach so you could eat masses of food then go to the toilet, attach a pump to the tube and remove one third of the food that you had just eaten. The inventor of this…

Oh everyone knows this one! It's a well known fact that food eaten whilst walking has zero calories just like fries stolen from someone else's plate
-
And I've got a REALLY busy day tomorrow  (edited for sad face)

I had roast beef, roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, carrots and brussel sprouts. Followed by raspberry tart and (just one tablespoon) cream. I'm still full

This is true for water but I'm not sure it't true for ice cream, it has a lot of air incorporated into the mix - that's why the texture is ruined if it freezes and thaws, The pack of ice cream will be marked with a volume, can you tip out the whole block, weigh it in grams and work out the weight per ml? Once you've done…

My answer to the extra calories is always exercise! If you know that you'll be having a takeaway then go for a walk/ jog/swim after work or at lunchtime. You can burn off 200 -300 calories and it makes maintaining your deficit so much easier. I used to hate exercise and hardly did any but I did the C25K in the summer and I…

I've lost a lot of cheese or, in another scale, this fat cat https://www.pinterest.com/pin/8725793001444753/ If ever a feline needs MFP it's this one!

You need information about your diet. You need to log ALL your food, you need to measure all your food (cups or a jug for liquids and a scale that can measure in grams for everything else) and log your exercise. With all that exercise you should definitely be at a calorie deficit! On the plus side, you MUST be fitter,…

You'll probably survive! :-) I bet the ice cream was lovely though!

Slice an eggplant, a couple of zucchini, a red onion, a couple of peppers, add some cherry tomatoes, spray with 5-6 sprays of 1 cal spray and bake in a hot oven for about 20 minutes. Top with about an ounce of crumbled goats cheese, sprinkle with balsamic vinegar and pop under a hot grill to melt the cheese. Really, really…
