I so appreciate this article. I read it with great interest. I believe the author hits the nail on the head. While a calorie is a calorie, I know that a chicken breast is better for me, and makes me feel better physically, than a coke. Simple.

Just be careful about the kinds of fruit you eat. There are some that are lower in sugar. Best of luck to you!

I agree. I read the Snopes rebuttal, but I wonder if we can actually trust the feds to tell us the truth...That would be the rub here. I cannot believe that any of these chemicals are actually not harmful. I say it again. Water is the best. Now...which water?

I so understand what you are going through. I have done the same thing. I always wonder how it happened. For me it starts with thinking I can eat sugar. I can't. It results in a binge that will last from months to years. I always get fatter than I was to begin with. I am now 64, so I urge you young women and men to do it…

I really resent the "that's what the search is for" crap. I didn't even know I could use a search feature. I assume most other new people don't either. I think the comments about needing the conversation, not just reading old posts, is absolutely right on. If it's old news to you...don't answer.
