  • HW: 159 CW: 13 6 Goal: 120-125 HOW TALL ARE YOU? 5'2'' WHEN/HOW DO YOU WORKOUT? I do strength training (from my small collection of Jillian Michaels DVD's) everyday after work, then cardio (from my treadmill or biking) on the weekends. ARE YOU MAINTAINING OR LOSING? Losing HOW MANY CALS DO YOU EAT? It really depends on if…
  • Some people are very self-conscious. I'm a bit on the shy side and thought that everyone at the gym would be watching me, even though I was far from the biggest person there. It takes a while to get over that feeling and to be comfortable with yourself to exercise in public. Given the choice I would still work out in the…
  • Nope, it's doesn't matter what you eat, as long as you stay under your calorie limit. This past week I have had a candy bar, doughnut, chicken strips, fries, and a milkshake and have still lost weight, in fact this has been my biggest drop so far. Just focus on finding out which foods fill you up and which ones don't. I…
  • CW: 137.0 Ahh, I'm so close to being a "normal weight" for the first time in my adult life. I still love this slow and steady technique, it's really been working for me the past few months.
  • I've never binged and I have lost over 20 lbs by eating the same foods I always eat, just in smaller amounts. The other day I really wanted ice cream and I still had room in my daily calories for it, so I went out and got a scoop of it, and I was still under for the day. If you have trouble controlling your chocolate…
  • When I first started losing weight my period was irregular (as usual) but within the past few months it has become almost regular, which is a first for me. I have noticed that they have been lighter than in the past, and my cramps have been very limited too, maybe a bit on the first day, but nothing that an ibuprofen can't…
  • I'm working on being 130 by the end of the year, but if I can get down to 134 (3 more pounds to go) then I would have loss 25 pounds in less than a year and will no longer be overweight. I honestly can't remember the last time I was at a normal weight. I'm going to be really excited.
  • I was in your same place earlier this year, I am very shy and always think that everyone's watching me. In March and April I was terrified to go to our school gym. I was about 15 pounds heavier than I currently am, but I knew that I needed to go. The gym at my school is very big, and there were a lot of people there, but I…
  • Everything in moderation. When I want a drink, I have one or two and that's it. I make it fit into my calories and I never get hungover because I don't go wild, and I'm at the age where I'm expected to go wild every weekend. Hold your head up and learn from your mistakes. You know what your limit is, so next time don't…
  • Not very often. I was probably very close/over two weeks ago when I had to go to a wedding because I had to do a lot of estimating on their food. It's a bit difficult for me to overeat since I'm in college and paying for my own food, so there's only so much food in the house that has to last my roommate and me a week, and…
  • It's probably water retention. I'm in the same situation right now. I've been working out and logging everything. Last week I was 138.8, I went down to 137.6 and now I'm at 139.4. I know that I have been at a deficient everyday (even excluding exercise) and ate nowhere near enough to gain 2 pounds. If you're not drinking…
  • 21 year old student here from Missouri, USA. Feel free to add me
  • I'm currently in college, but I'm living off campus. The way I've been losing weight has been cooking all of my own meals. My roommate and I grocery shop every week and we seldom eat out, it's just too expensive for one meal. I also use my food scale for just about everything now, it's very useful and I would recommend…
  • I was extremely lucky with my recovery. All four of mine were impacted, but I was in and out of the surgeon's office within an hour. I had no swelling at all, and barely took the pain killers (I only used two the day after surgery and the 3rd day I only took one). I barely ate for the first two days following surgery. My…
  • 159 at 5'2, with nearly 42% body fat
  • I have it for breakfast a lot. I'm not very hungry in the morning and don't really care for breakfast, but if I don't eat then I'll get really hungry during class. So a shake is a nice little bit of fiber, protein, vitamins, and minerals, and it's less than 200 calories, which leaves a lot of room for lunch and dinner,…
  • SW: 138.8 CW: 138.8 Well, at least it's not a gain... Not too bad considering I was traveling (no exercise time) and went to a wedding. I'll have more time to exercise this week, so I'm hoping for a loss next week.
  • Hey! SW: 138.8 GW: 130.8 UGW: 120-125
  • I've been thinking about doing this. Right now I'm currently at lightly active, but right now I'm only working about 10 hours a week so I'm not sure if that's enough to justify raising my activity level.
  • That's my goal too! Right now I'm hovering around 138-139 and if I could get into the 120s by Christmas/New Year that would be fantastic! I really can't remember when I was in the 120s, and it would also mean that I would've lost 30 lbs in a year.
  • It really depends on your body. I have been told by a cardiologist that I actually need more salt, or else I can faint because of my blood pressure. I don't go wild on the salt, but I don't limit myself. To counteract this I try to drink a lot of water daily, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. This weekend my…
  • Congrats! You can do one of two things: log it or move on. I recently had my 21st birthday during a very stressful time where I had absolutely NO time for exercise. But I still went out and had some food and drinks (including a alcoholic milkshake-- hello calorie bomb). I just decided to have fun for the day and not worry…
  • I was wondering the same thing too lately. I use to be pretty irregular, but after losing nearly 20lbs I have been getting regular with a lighter and shorter cycle. I would always cramp the first day or two (nothing major) but lately I haven't even been taking Tylenol on my first day. If this is a side effect of weight…
  • I've never done any of these before, but I'd like to try. Count me in please.
  • How much are you actually eating? When I did Insanity earlier this year I followed the calculations and it said to eat at least 1700 a day, and if you're a guy you need to eat even more. You can't starve yourself while on Insanity. You also probably need to up your protein, do you have a protein drink after Insanity? It…
  • Depends on whatever you like. I like having bigger meals so that I will feel full. I also have classes, so my schedule doesn't allow for me to have 5 or 6 meals a day. I've tried 5 or 6 meals a day and just didn't feel full because of how small the meals were, I was also always washing dishes:grumble: . I like having a…
