  • Well, I tell everyone that lets the scale run their fitness lives this: The scale doesn't dictate progress. The true progress is seeing yourself constantly improving in the physical aspects. You can run longer without being out of breath, you can do more pushups, etc. You say you see yourself losing the weight, so let that…
  • Well I started getting pretty bad anxiety and panic attacks, and a lot of that stemmed from my weight. Didn't wanna rely on medication and found exercise actually cured it for me. I went from having them nightly to never having them again once I started exercising. Went on to lose over 100lbs, then this time 5 years ago, I…
  • Various songs from Tom Vek and Sky Ferreira. It's a "party drugs and chill" kinda night! hahahaha Tom Vek - You'll stay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEldIjrRZUk&feature=kp Sky Ferreira - You're Not The One https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFCZP1Nz3Ds Sky Ferreira - Night Time, My Time…
  • If you're in committed relationship with someone you supposedly love, gaining weight shouldn't really tear the relationship apart like that. I could MAYBE see if the gained weight brought about a lot of inconvenient health problems, like forcing the person to become bed ridden, with the person doing zero to try and prevent…
  • Don't be discouraged. These things take time! You've put in the work to drop the 23 so far. Keep that work up and the changes will come. These things take months--sometimes years. Which is why you have to commit to it and keep eyes on the prize! Also a few blind suggestions: Try using measuring tapes on your body, and also…
  • I doubt any one will get this, but if you do, you know what I mean.
  • My personal advice: You gotta get away from the scale. I've seen a lot of people who obsess over that damn number and it keeps them discouraged and i've even seen some people quit altogether over it. Space the weigh-ins to once a month. That's where you'll more likely see a clear difference in your weight progression.
  • This stuff can sometimes take years! Just know it wont be easy. You've done a month. Keep putting in the work on a monthly basis and those changes are inevitable! You got this STAY POSITIVE!
  • You cannot go wrong with it. When you talk about songs that set the mood, there is no discussion if "I C*m blood" isn't in that discussion. hahaha. I do hope you at least enjoy some of actual suggestions. Have fun! lol
  • Im always looking to make some new friends. I am open to any and all that would wanna be friends. I know a good deal about this whole weight loss thing, i've lost the weight before, but now im just battling my way back into shape again through injuries and family troubles.
  • Sorry to hear you are hearing **** like that from someone who should be helping you out and supporting you. You should know that eating next to no food is just as bad as eating too much. Neither do the body good.. MFP is a great place to network and build a great supporting group of people to help you along the way. Would…
  • Cleveland native here. While I don't really get into any of the community fitness stuff, just wanted to come by and show dat 216 pride! hahaha.
  • I am a burly built guy and have definitely had this problem. It takes a little bit of self-pep to get yourself to go when you know you aren't very aesthetically pleasing lol. What I did was went out and bought myself some waterproof headphones and that just shut everything else out and let me focus on the exercise. It was…
  • From my experience: A couple things could be factoring in. Completely cutting out just soda is not going to cut it. It has to be all the sugary, empty-caloried drinks. So make sure you are drinking only water if you really want to make it count, and make sure to get 8-12 cups on a regular basis. Watch your sodium too--It…
  • I saw someone already put it, but wanted to second Beans and Nuts.Idk the vegetarian stance on protein powder, when it comes to the ingredients in it, so look into that maybe too.
  • Given the fact that I am a simple minded person and refuse to make weight loss complicated, i'd say that maybe you're putting too much thought into it. That is just my opinion though. By all means try it out and if it works for you, then it works for you.
  • I feel like you can't go wrong if you hump to these tunes. • I bet the friend requests that the boobs people get tend to look very similar to this.
  • Im stuck at planet fitness because my local rec has shoddy equipment and too many kids running around clownin'. Planet Fitness is a gym catered for beginners to fitness or those, like me, who had no other options. I personally think they are doing so well because they reel so many of these jabroni's who get on their little…
  • I've had a big drop in my friend activity and lost a bunch of friends as well. Always looking for a chance to add to the support system. It can't hurt can it? Feel free to add me, any and all!
  • Ad Block! Works like a charm. Can't remember the last time i've even seen an ad while surfing the internet lol.
  • I am not sure about your gym situation over there in your neck of the woods. The place I go to is a chain across all of america. They use the same brand for all their treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, etc. The brand of this equipment is called "Life Fitness". You can probably reach out to an owner or manager and ask if the…
  • This is one reason I tend to switch my muscle groups up to uncommon days. For example, I'll never do a chest day on Monday. Good luck ever getting a bench. Chest-bros everywhere! Either way there sometimes just isn't enough equipment to go around, so If you wanna be a nice person about it, you could ask if he wanted to…
  • Feel free to add me. I've made the changes and dropped the weight before. Got hurt, gained it back, and now im working on getting back to where I was while trying to deal with injuries among some other issues. Having a great support system makes a difference. Edited to add: WV shoutout! Raised in Ohio, but born in WV. Got…
  • My highest weight was 354 pounds, I move around more like a 200 some odd pound person than a 300 pound person if that makes any difference? lol. When you're a lot heavier and first starting off the scale does not matter at all. I dropped 12 pounds in less than a week when I got back on my full time routine again. You will…
  • It helps if you go into a gym knowing what you're gonna do. You don't wanna run around a gym or stand around looking clueless. You plan out a routine ahead of time, don't try nothing complicated or flashy. Keep it simple, but effective until you learn more advanced exercises. You will only bring attention to yourself if…
  • Half the time that im going to the gym, im dragging myself there. Once im there, I am up and at it at full pace. Motivation can be a big issue sometimes. We all fall off and stray away from the successful habits when we are doing this, and it's okay. You just have to get back up and at it. There is no secret or mind trick…
  • Nuts are always my go to for the good fats. Be sure to get lightly salted or plain ones though. Otherwise you're getting a bunch of sodium among other things you don't need.
  • You weigh a lot less than me, and are a completely different sex, so im sure things are different in a few aspects lol. Although not currently, but in my few successes with weight loss whenever I hit a brick wall, I switched it up. You should switch a routine up every few months, either by adding longer times or intensity…
  • Any and all can feel free to add me. I've been on here for over two years (this is my second account.) I've been dealing with a lot of injuries. Including A shoulder I separated playing football a few years back that didnt heal right, and frequent gout flare ups. I try my best to not let these things stop me, but it has…
