  • If you are bodybuilding that should be enough. If you are just casually trying to build some muscle you really don't need that much.
  • Sorry. I tend to know when threads are joke ones, this must have just went over my head. Sometimes it gets confusing because some people actually do this.
  • Well, if you have any intention on building muscle, it's not happening on a 900 calories diet. Not sure of your stats but 2100 likely still wouldn't cut that either. ETA: If you are doing it for the sake of not putting on muscle, then try and least get your minimum amount of cals a day. Just my suggestion
  • Im not on either side. I never call hard-bodied people steroid junkies. And I don't call soft-bodied people gluttonous and lazy. But this is just one picture. You'll find many people in great shape ripping into overweight people just the same....it's pretty much a two way street....I think everyone who rips on one body…
  • Im a two-time college drop-out, if that counts? lol
  • Start slow. Running along with mostly anything requires time and effort put into it. Working from my current situation, I started off at 354 pounds putting in a slug like 20 minute mile. Here I am a few months later clocking in a 12 minute mile. Each week my mile time is trimming down. Do intervals (in any period of time…
  • I say we pit one side against the other in an all out war and end this once and for all....sound fair? Im in, and im on the IIFYM side.
  • 1200 just never cut it for me...you can lose weight by eating more than that. You'll likely burn at least 2000 (just an example number) cals a day alone from TDEE depending on your bodyweight and how active your daily lifestyle is. Don't deprive yourself. If you're hungry eat. TDEE - 20% works for me as to finding how much…
  • Godsmack - Moon Baby (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHdbQwaSY40) ... I play it whenever I know I am going to be doing a long period of intense running. I usually start it up at the 2:40 mark, an awesome guitar riff starts followed by lyrics "Tolerance...Tolerance for pain" that repeats a couple times. Always keeps me…
  • bumping to hopefully send a few friends your way.
  • A lot of us have been there, myself included. There has to be a time to stop the restarts though...make this time around count. I lost 80 pounds when I was about 18 and I eventually gained it all back and then some. Been working my way back for a while now...im here at 23 years old, and know this is it. No more BS…
  • If you cannot find patience, you are almost bound to fail. Learn to be patient. If you're doing the work it'll happen. It'll sure as **** take a lot more patience if you aren't putting in the work...so just look at it that way.
  • Soda and those sugary fruit drinks are the things you have to cut out--not completely, but very very strictly moderate. They are just empty calories with way too much sugar. At least most junk food at least gives you some nutrition down the line, but soda has zero benefits. I do opt for those "light" versions of things…
  • I like playing basketball, baseball, and football with my friends. But anytime i've relied on them to come to the gym with me they have never followed through. If I waited to go on their schedule i'd probably be over 400 pounds by now. Also having unreliable friends makes it a little harder in the fact you have no one to…
  • I use whipped cream in the bowls. Tastes good and surprisingly not bad at all on the macros
  • Good stuff. Makes me pump my fist and nod my head in YESery! You look amazing now, but honestly, i'd of pegged you as good looking before too. Either way, awesome work!
  • I keep it simple. I know I will never be able to have the career or body I want if I don't keep working to get in the shape I need to. So, I have a lot depending on it, and I need to make it happen. Time spent making excuses and not staying motivated is time that could be spent actually doing the work...unless you are…
  • I pretty much base everything I do on whether or not there will be people there. And by everything I do, I mean working out and shopping...that's all I do because, I do not care for crowds or any people to begin with. I'd say I show strong signs of introvert-ism.
  • The good thing is you don't have to cut out the foods you LOVE that may not be so good for you. Just work them into your daily limit. Keep it in check and you will still see improvement. You gotta want it...that's all there is too it. It don't happen overnight, and it ain't easy. Everyone would be in shape if that were the…
  • When I was having issues with them. I did very light effort. I also bought myself a shin splint sleeve. It actually helped. Got it from Zensah, best place to go for sports injury gear imo.
  • I feel like if the person is unwilling to exercise they will not achieve that goal weight anytime in the very late future. Especially on 3000 calories a day, and especially if you are going to include all those things like soda, chips and candy. At my highest weight of 354 pounds....close to the weight of this person you…
  • My stance on politics can be described by the lyrics from the Korn song "Politics"
  • Not an expert on women and their vitamins. But I will go ahead and recommend Fish Oil. I go with the triple strength, so I don't have to take 3 a day...just one!
  • Nearly every bottle of "diet" pills has a little asterisk after it's huge text LOSE UNWANTED BELLY FAT *under healthy diet and exercise*.....If you do that...that completely eliminates the need for these bogus, gimmicky BS pills. The only pills I take are multivitmains and fish oil.
  • I like the fact that my gym is no longer Planet Fitness. Signed up for it because of how cheap and close it was. The only good thing about it was the cardio machines. So I switched back to my local rec, best choice i've made gym-wise. It has a free weight room, a machine weight room, 2 basketball courts, a pool, sauna,…
  • Been at 300lbs and lost 80lbs...got hurt, gained it back. Went all the way up to a ridiculous 354lbs...currently (according to my last weigh in) I am at 322lbs. Goal weight of 193 to enlist in the army. Very athletic for my size, so losing the weight isn't hard physically. It's usually battling the mental aspects that is…
  • Im likely poorer than mostly everyone on here lol. Definitely ain't got the cash to throw down the drain for that beach body bull**** or shakeology...I'l go ahead and let the rich people blow their money on that garb. Being a relatively very poor person, here are a few tips from me: Dont shop at places like Giant Eagle…
  • I haven't had this issue. But if its from friction, try wearing compression shorts. It prevents friction. I actually have made the switch from regular boxers to compression shorts everyday, even when not exercising because they are always comfortable.
  • You either move past it, or you let it drag you down further. You have a choice...make the right one. I also never have/had anyone to physically talk to when I was going through issues. It's an effort you have to make by yourself sometimes.
