Depending on your weight, the calorie burn will be higher. I get insane calorie burns taking water aerobics. My sibling attended the same class with me and MFP recorded her burn at 100 calories less.

That a lot of fake food. She can adjust her existing diet, by having a piece of fruit with her morning cereal. Buy a turkey breast and slice instead of lunch meat and have a small side salad or other green vegetable. If instead of junkfood she simply reaches for fresh fruit, or nuts there is no need to eat food coloring,…

I understand you are busy, but I never use the the quick as calories. I find when you have a lot to lose those macro nutrients are really important and can factor in greatly. if you don;t have time to add specific food, find one in the database that closely resembles what you are eating. Also even if you do not add salt to…

I did and still do 3 simple things. Eat properly, water aerobics and walking. I work out 5 - 6 days a week. That's it. nothing fancy, just good old fashioned hard work and consistency.

I wouldn't bother with the prenatal vitamins, rather i would focus on an overall balanced diet. I'm also & the only supplement I take is a vegetarian glucosamine to address some mild arthritis in my left knee. As for the hair loss, I would speak with a doctor. My diary is open and as you can see I get plenty of protein.

WOO HOO! That is awesome! I'm in the 100lbs or more to lose club myself so I know it's a challenge. I've had ups & downs, stops & starts and ongoing health issues, but I'm still here and trying. I can attest to the benefits of working out. I have chronic insomnia and the one thing that helps is working out every…

yup, I log it all, good, bad and ugly. I also makes notes if there was anything going on that day, that may have effected my day.

I gotta call BS on the "best thing that ever happened to you" saying that he'll leave you if you're fat. Take a deep breath and come up with a game plan to eat better. Google for eating on a budget, there are loads of sites. I know it can get overwhelming when you're unemployed, but you can do this.

That or the exercise nazis. You know what? Some people truly are sedentary and going up the stairs requires major effort so if you don't like that some people count cleaning as part of their exercise, then skip the post and keep it moving. I remember last year when I joined after a major illness, I had to cook sitting…

Find a way to manage it. Anything I can't eat within control, doesn't come in the house. I'd find something else to satisfy that craving. I can often eat fruit for my sweet tooth, but if I want a cookie, I go to the bakery, but 1 cookie and take it home. Chocolate almost never comes in the house because I have no willpower…

Allons-y! My first Doctor was 4 and I don't mind being a Trekkie or a Whovian.

put in in the blender with some fruit and make a smoothie. It will lose that curd texture.

I do water aerobics and it's a life saver. Very easy on the the knees and a good workout to boot. My ortho has also suggested the elliptical and pilates or yoga. I've done pilates and while it is a challenging work out, it was very easy on my arthritic knee.

Even veg has sugar in it. Just focus on eating a balanced diet. A few points high in sugar won't hurt, you just don't want it to be consistently high. I'm vegetarian so I understand the struggles, just really think and plan what you are going to eat.

Both.I am morbidly obese, but I am also fly and beautiful and in no way ashamed of who I am. I also know what I need to do in order to be a healthier me. Hence I make it a point to eat properly and exercise. The two are not mutually exclusive. I think it's a good thing to see gorgeous plus sized people. It's good to see…

Because they are high in sugar. The thing is if it's sugar from fruit then you're also getting the other good things along with it. Look at the other source of sugar and cut back on those, but as long as you aren't overdoing it, don't sweet the fruit.

You need food that will help you feel full and stick with you. Yogurt and almond or peanut butter in the morning is good. I like oatmeal with a handful of dried cranberries. Eggs in the morning also fill me up. I don't have a cholesterol problem so I eat the whole egg. Lunch over the summer was often a salad. A hard boiled…

Greek yogurt is not a magic elixir. It just better for you than traditional yogurt because it's higher in protein and usually has less sugar. However eating barely 600 calories all day is not healthy.

If you don't like it, don't eat it. I love it and hate any other kind of yogurt. I use it as sour cream substitute or I add 1 stevia packet and whatever fruit I have handy. If you have granola you like, toss that in. I've even added 1 tblsp of almond butter and cacao powder for a creamy reeses peanut butter cup type flavor.

Have to second the Pikko rec. She is mad talented. Also for basic instructions on most anything eHow.com is always a good resource.

I used to. I have several sets., including one that I used to use to make a noodle bowl with precook udon, veggies and a tiny ball of miso paste for soup base. It's a great way to manage monitor portion control. Here's a few I made. This one has broccoli, grape tomatoes, veggie sushi, veggie dumplings and a tiny bit of…

Do you eat before exercising? I can't eat a meal, but I make a protein shake or smoothie. I've only gotten the shakies or lightheaded if my blood sugar was too from working out You may had enough food in your system when you were tested, hence normal blood work. Also after working out I may have a protein bar if I'm not…

Just walk. Set a simple goal. Walk for 15 mins every day. After 2 weeks add 10 mins. it doesn't matter what the exercise is just do something at least times a weeks.

74 pounds in 4 mths is not a healthy goal. If I do the math correctly, that's almost 5lbs a week. While you may see a large weight loss initially that will peter off eventually. MFP recommends between .5 and 2lbs a week as a healthy weight loss. You also run the risk of discouraging yourself when you fail to met such a…

I haven't tried it but I'm cheap. I would just google free meal plans and adapt my own from there.

Samsung Galaxy tabs get good reviews, or you can look into refurbs. Many will be having flash sales between now and the holidays. I would read the review on a tech site like CNET.com to get the info on the best budget tablets out there and then set a google alert for ones you like best.

I buy the snack pack ziplocs and before I even put them in the cabinet I sort them into serving sizes. For example, I love gingersnaps. If I sit down with the box even telling myself to only eat a serving size is a joke. I will eat the entire box. If I sort them into ziplocs I grab my allowed amount and I'm happy. Mind you…

Food prep. An hour or two of planning and prepping on Sunday or Minda night makes it easier and cheaper to eat well all week long. ~ parboil chicken breast that can be cut up into salads or stir fries ~make and freeze meatballs or ground meat for sauces ~ chop up and fruit or veg for salads or snacking ~ plan 1 or 2 crock…

I don't buy/bring into the house anything AI can't ear without bunging. Soda and coffee I gave up old turkey because I knew there was no gradual for me. I don't drink coffee because of insomnia & as much as people want to justify drinking it there is NOTHING healthy about soda. Everything else I just plan into my diary. I…
