I thought I had plantar fasciitis but my chiropractor identified my knees and shoes as the real problem. He sorted my knees, I sorted my shoes. No more problems and it's never returned (and I suffered with it for two years before it got bad enough to seek professional help) Hope that is helpful to you :-)

That is ace! Running is not my thing so I have the utmost respect for anyone who can run. :-)

You'll quicker results from lifting heavy for less reps, I'm not a beginner either. A good book that helped me is New Rules for lifting for women ( all the big online book retailers carry it) Lift like a man, look like a goddess!

If you really knuckle down, no excuses you might be able to lose 14lbs in six weeks. I've done it. It took discipline and consistency. Take measurements on your body, not just scale data. If you're working out hard you may see an inches change rather than the scale as fat burns off and lean tissue is put down. Go for…

I'm getting married in August so I need to drop to a UK 10/12 to get into my wedding dress. But will happy to maintain 12/14 after that. So I need to drop 4 inches off my waist in the next 7 months. I've bought some heavy-ish dumb bells 15kg x 2 for my 41st birthday so I can really top up my daily efforts. I'm also hoping…

I have turned into an eating machine, I appear to be on a ten day binge so far and have gained the 7lbs it took me three months to shift! AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHHH    :explode:

Sometimes looking at pictures of myself makes me sad so I opted for something that made me laugh instead!

I'm on a binge and have left some items off my log because it already looks horrendous (more than doubled my calorie intake today) I could have gone for a walk today but was too lazy to stop watching tv (used the excuse of must watch TiVo recordings as we are up to 91%) I don't want to visit my brother for Xmas but have to…

There's another angle to this that's not easily explained by those who have never experienced it. I am a sugary carb addict and my trigger is sugar. Any kind. I don't usually eat any fruit or processed sugar or artificial sweeteners unless I've fallen into a binge.. I'm in a binge right now because I thought I would just…

My resolution is to maintain or improve. They are the only two acceptable options. I do have a specific goal to reduce my waist from current 33inches to 29inches by end July. I have my wedding end August so want to have my body all sorted well in advance.

I broke my processed sugar potato pasta rice bread habit in three days, so it might not take 21 days for you, or it might. You'll never know unless you try. Once off the processed sugars and carbs you'll be able to control your cravings much more easily. Your protein will keep you full, your healthy snacks described…

1. Everybody is different so find out what works for your own physiology/lifestyle/age/state of health or ability. 2. Experiment with food, try excluding certain things so see if you are sensitive to it when you re-introduce it - for me it jump started my weight loss effortlessly and cleared up my IBS and mood swings when…

Consistency, Discipline and Self-respect - I can only rely on myself. I give myself permission to succeed.

When I tried it, it triggered my old binging behaviours and I have been struggling to get that under control for months afterwards. Sure, try it, but just be aware it's not for everyone and of the people I have talked to who have done it the men had more success with it than the women, and most (9 out of 12) of the women…

I hate it. I am forced by my employer to work in an open plan office so I can't get away from it. I like kids but not at work. The parents don't give advance warning that they are coming in, they just turn up so you can't even arrange to be working from another part of the office or to be in a meeting to avoid the…

/\ this You have to know you can never go back to you old eating habits - because they make you fat!
-
Never said the nuts were low calorie but those are essential fats that the OP might be missing out on. I agree with you that raw or cooked veggies with nothing on them are a great low calorie snack but not great at giving that satiated feeling particularly if you are starting out and getting into a new routine. Smaller…

Not sure you will get much from those kind of snacks, why not work in healthy snacks like a handful of mixed nuts (not peanuts) in the morning and a handful of berries in the afternoon, they taste great and give you great fats and nutrients respectively. I have found most things low or no fat to be loaded with processed…

I had the same problem when I got divorced, all the married couples we were frinds with just uninvited me from stuff we used to do, like playing pool and going to a pub and wives got really possessive, I wasn't allowed to sit near the men or talk to them without some sort of female chaperone. It was completely ridiculous.…

Me too, well said, regardless if it's a man or women offering to help me, if I need it I will accept with thanks, if I'm good, I'll decline graciously. Sometimes I let people help me cos I can tell they REALLY want to help (even if I'm good), because somehow I feel I'm helping them feel good by accepting their help. Does…

Read this, for pity's sake: http://glutenintoleranceschool.com/gluten-intolerance-bloating/ This is not a blog.

Can't agree with you here, one size does not fit all, OP could experiment by eliminating gluten/wheat which bloats some people. You don't have to go a doctor to undertake food trials on yourself. But if you do them, 100% eliminate for 90 days before reintroducing to note any changes/reaction. If no changes/reactions…

You look fab! Congrats :-)

Hi hon if you search for 30 day shred you should find quite a few buddies already on here :-)

I know but the OP might not feel deprived or miserable. I used to love ice cream too!

Yeah, I wasn't part of that study, so their findings are irrelevant to me. My physiology is unique to me.

Anytime someone "wonders why" the first thing to look at is their diary. Your first job is to keep an accurate food diary, including all the booze, and all the food from the restaurant. All the binging, and all the double portions. You are currently out of control. You can look up 1/2 cup carrots, it's in the list, just…

This /\ Yes yes yes plus you can roast shavings of carrots, parsnips and beet root with salt and pepper in the oven to make your own healthy crisps. The smoothie is really high in sugars, your body might process whole fruit more easily and you'll consume less fruit. I know smoothies make me run to the loo!

I am neither miserable or feel deprived, I am very happy indeed!
