  • I need to get my butt in gear with exercise. I am scheduled for Zumba tonight and my energy level is around my toes. I will get dressed and go. I will be glad that I did.
  • I am calling this past weekend the "lost weekend" and not in a good way. If it wasn't nailed down, I ate it. Back to clean eating this week. I wrote down a couple of my goals and referred to them throughout the day. "I will be confident in my ability to lose weight" (That's the 1st one). I feel your pain @aleahurst.
  • I realized that although I tracked last week, I didn't pay a lick of attention to the numbers. Duh! So, this week's goal is to plan and be mindful. I haven't made much progress (lots of excuses though). Anywho .... I decided I am happy with losing 1 lb. per week. If I make that goal I will be 100 lbs. down just in time for…
  • Super cute hair do!
  • @fitzmonkey13 - Good luck on your job interview.
  • Confession time ... I was completely off the rails on Friday and couldn't even really track it. It was bad, real bad. I progressively got better over the weekend. The problem is that when I go on a sugar binge, it takes a while to recover. No one can tell me that sugar isn't as addictive as drugs. So, the game plan this…
  • I got back to Zumba last night after a short break. My body is reminding me that I took a short break. Tonight will be stretching and doing my knee exercises. Everyone here is motivating me to step up my exercise. Thanks!
  • Well, the weather finally is getting better in these parts (outside Philadelphia), which always lifts my mood a bit. I feel more motivated to get moving and eat more fruits and veggies. I don't need the comfort foods as much. I enjoy all of your posts -- very motivating!
  • I'm new to this community. I am trying to work on behaviors right now. When I'm good, I'm great, but when I'm bad .... whew baby! Once I fall off the rails, it takes a while to get back on the track. I'm looking for ideas on how not to be so black or white with my eating habits and exercise program.
  • I am struggling with good behaviors. I realize that if I do the "right" things such as healthy eating and exercise, the weight will take care of itself. Sometimes I just zone out and find myself mindlessly eating (bad choices). Is this what alcoholics and drug addicts experience? My drug of choice is sugar. I'm looking for…
  • I'm really struggling with my eating behaviors lately. I find myself going into a blank space and doing some mindless eating. Searching out solutions on eating mindfully.

  • Um, no. Have you ever regretted getting something you wished for?
  • Add me! I've got 100 lbs. to lose and I know it's going to take a long time. I now need the patience to hang in there. My new mantra is when I see something I want to eat (devour) and it doesn't fit into my program, I say, "This too shall pass."

  • Nothing sells like fear mongering. It almost sells better than sex!
  • Yum! Sauerkraut.
  • My mom is way more subtle. She has never had to watch her weight ... ever! She is now 89 yo and watches every morsel that goes into her mouth and everyone else's for that matter. She likes to criticize her fellow residents (retirment community) about being overweight (not to their faces), but in front of me. I'm not sure…
